The last government produced some draft guidelines for schools about navigating all this with safeguarding children, political impartiality and anti bullying being the priority. It shows the hold that the trans lobby has on this government that these draft guidelines are still draft - over 2 years after being issued for consultation.

Despite the desperate demands from schools for advice
Despite the clarity of the SC judgment.
Despite the evidence of numerous sex offenders having access to children & schools via charities - (see LGBTYS, Mermaids, Pride Surrey / Swindon & more)
Despite the complaints from parents about schools who have socially transitioned their children in secret from parents.
Despite Cass
Despite complaints from parents like the OP with daughters who are bullied into sharing changing rooms with boys.

Although this case is about a school, the complete failure of this government to amend / ratify these guidelines shows how powerful this lobby is and how culpable the govt is.

Here is another OP

https://wpde.com/news/nation-world/after-trans-woman-exposed-genitalia-to-freshman-girls-in-locker-room-shower-school-district-faces-legal-scrutiny

The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty (WILL) is demanding answers and action in a letter to a Wisconsin school district, arguing it failed to appropriately address an incident where a transgender-identifying student who is biologically male showered in the girls' locker room alongside four freshman girls, exposing them to male genitalia.

A school district in Wisconsin faces scrutiny over how it handled an incident in which a trans female exposed themselves to biological girls in a locker room.

@onepostwonder

“I had to leave school because it was impossible to exist without constant abuse and violence”

I’m very sorry that happened. It never should. To anyone.

“I have spent over 40 years in womens spaces. In toilets, changing rooms, shared sleeping accommodations”

You have spent over forty years trampling on the privacy, dignity and consent of likely thousands of women. That is a terrible thing to admit.

“I assume everyone feels this at peace with their lives”

At the cost of those thousands of women’s dignity privacy…. As long as you are OK eh?

“it is almost a guarantee that we will be living the rest of our lives as that gender.”

Huge amounts of emerging evidence shows you are wrong in that belief.

“I believe I would be able to spot a bad faith attempt at transition”

You clearly misunderstand. The intent does not matter, men could be pretending or be very very sincere - they still do NOT BELONG IN FEMALE SPACES. Not ever.

“I do believe trans girls are girls and trans boys are boys.”

Thats a belief. It is factually wrong in every aspect.

“I support case by case inclusion because I was not allowed an education”

Your pain, which should not have happened, does not give you the power to grant the removal of female students dignity and privacy. You SHOULD have bene looked after at school. There is no reason at all that you should have been allowed in females spaces of any kind.

People with penises should not be in my daughter's changing rooms.

One of the UK cases that was deeply upsetting was the girl who got into her abusers car as she had been taught 'transwomen are women'- a fact which the BBC omitted from its report.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-67144375
Lying to girls puts them at risk.

and it's hard for girls to talk about how uncomfortable having boys in the girls loos etc is as this may happen:
https://www.lbc.co.uk/article/girl-18-driven-out-of-school-for-questioning-transgender-ideology-DWzDXy_2/

and CofE school policy used to be that kids who wouldn't lie about others sex would be accused of bullying- including children of transitioners / CSA victims!

And just found another WPUK page about school toilets if helpful!

I suspect you have already added this to your collection of information OP.

https://www.edweek.org/leadership/how-a-virginia-district-failed-at-every-juncture-to-prevent-sexual-assault/2022/12

"The school district faced fierce backlash after news broke about the first assault, some of which initially focused on its policy allowing transgender students to use bathrooms aligned with their gender identity. Those reports suggested the assailant was wearing women’s clothing at the time of at least one of the attacks, which magnified the fury of prominent right-wing activists, politicians, and publications.

But the grand jury’s scathing report suggests the second assault was not a product of this policy. Rather, it called out widespread, repeated institutional failures, concluding that “a remarkable lack of curiosity and adherence to operating in silos,” by administrators “is ultimately to blame.”

In January, the boy accused of the assaults was sentenced to time in a residential treatment facility, probation until he is 18, and to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. (He was 14 at the time of the attacks.)"

If I remember correctly, this was a boy who had declared he was a girl.

Image of safety cones and red flags.

How a Virginia District ‘Failed at Every Juncture’ to Prevent Sexual Assault

The grand jury’s devastating report is a must-read for district superintendents on how systems fall apart.

I also wonder if the OP will find some of the testimony from the girls who have testified about what has happened to them in their changing rooms in the USA when their schools allowed male people to access their female communal single sex changing rooms.

There is not just the Lia Thomas example, which is college level (same with the sorority where the male sat with cushions hiding his erections).

I believe that Pepper-Jackson has been reported by girls (tween or early teens) for saying very inappropriate things to them which is abusive. Including 'suck my dick' and ‘I’m gonna stick my dick into your pussy.’ with it sometimes being 'ass'. And the girls who reported this were ignored.

No child should experience bullying and homophobia as onepost did.

The effects of being so let down by the adults who were supposed to care for you are immense.

The exact same can be said about girls whose rights to privacy and physical safety are being disregarded by adults in thrall to an ideology which does nothing to denounce the abusers it gives cover to.

Growing up with the trauma of male sexual violence sure as fuck doesn't lead to inner peace. And finding out that the misogyny of so many men and so many organisations and systems runs so so deep is IME as bad. It shatters your worldview.

Keeptoiletssafe · 04/02/2026 18:12

Well done India. ‘The Supreme Court, on Friday, ordered all states, Union Territories to ensure separate toilets for female and male students in schools, and also directed for disable-friendly toilets. The bench also said that it would hold governments accountable if they too fail to provide for toilets and free sanitary pads to female students’.

I am aware academics there have been investigating unisex toilets in schools. They found that constructing sex-specific toilets in schools significantly reduces child rapes, while having no effect on other sexual crimes (e.g., adult rape). The reduction is more pronounced in co-educational and secondary schools. Conversely, unisex toilets are ineffective, because girls feel unsafe to use them.

Thanks @Helleofabore and @MrsOvertonsWindow I posted before reading yours!

Thank you. Your link above reminds us of the dizzying reversals and U turns performed by proponents of this male dominated ideology as they try to impose their niche demands on society. Their determination to remove single sex exemptions was initially stark.
Once the law, the reality of the sex crimes of voyeurism and indecent exposure were pointed out, the language then changed. Now we get endless whining about the wishes of males to access unclothed girls and women. It's bloody exhausting.

But thanks to the OP a school will finally be exposed for all this.

From your link. Erm, this implies that GLP is providing the legal representation to your daughter’s school? Surely the LA will be providing their own legal team for them? If not and they have instructed the GLP this adds a whole new dimension to the affair, especially given how loose JM’s grip is on actual law. Can only be in your favour in the long run.

For those who don't know the history of the demand by a small group of men to end all female spaces here's a link
https://womansplaceuk.org/2018/06/25/references-to-removal-of-single-sex-exemptions/

It's sad (as well as abusive) that men who want to be women are so contemptuous towards the human rights and privacy of the half of the population they want to be. The misogynistic demand by trans groups to remove female human rights and bodily privacy was rejected by the UK gov in 2019, and rejected again by the UK Supreme Court last year. The saying 'good men stay out so bad men stand out' is apt.

As @MrsOvertonsWindow says

'This is not about trans people (tho the Esptein revelations include some chilling information about sex change medics and their involvement with the paedophile).
This is about safeguarding children - girls and boys - from the predatory belief that girls must be compelled to undress in front of boys and men if the males require this (and vice versa).
This is about the removal of the rights of children to have boundaries from the opposite sex.
This is about stopping dangerous adults gaslighting, coercively controlling and grooming girls into believing that they have no rights to privacy from males in showers, changing rooms, dormitories etc if men and boys insist on being present.
This is about safeguarding children from an age inappropriate, dangerous ideology and the activist adults that seek to remove the rights of children to be kept safe.
I can't wait for these adults to be standing in a court of law explaining why they're promoting the rights of men and boys to be in female changing rooms watching young girls undress.'

Evidence of calls to remove single sex exemptions from Equality Act - Woman's Place UK

Violence against women and sex discrimination still exist. Women need reserved places, separate spaces and distinct services.

This is your belief.

I started my transition over 40 years ago in school. I had to leave school because it was impossible to exist without constant abuse and violence. I persisted even though my changing was against considerable adult efforts to make me 'normal' and sometimes begrudgingly gay when 'normal' was a bridge too far. I have spent over 40 years in womens spaces. In toilets, changing rooms, shared sleeping accommodations. The gender dysphoria has been gone for decades and I have never regretted my decision. I assume everyone feels this at peace with their lives.

Based on my own experience, I used to believe that children and adolescents absolutely know if they are trans. And if we go to the effort of upending our lives at this age, and transition, it is almost a guarantee that we will be living the rest of our lives as that gender.

I agree that there can be no philosophising to dismiss this very real issue. The gender critical mischaracterisation of a minor MTF's transition as some goal-focused perverted action to 'gain access to girls' is cynical as hell and does no one any good. Could it happen? I guess. There are some awful people in the world. I believe I would be able to spot a bad faith attempt at transition. I believe detransitioners genuinely felt gender dysphoria at a time but eventually worked through the cause and decided transition was wrong for them. They are still a minorty of people who transition.

There used to be just as many trans boys as trans girls in the news for requesting accommodation in their schools. I assume that number has shifted to a majority of trans boys asking for accommodation, based on all the campaigns and websites against 'ROGD.'

I do believe trans girls are girls and trans boys are boys. I am not gender critical. I support case by case inclusion because I was not allowed an education. The fact that it was even allowed and culturally supported for any length of time warms my heart.

I am sorry to hear about your background of abuse and violence. However, none of this changes the fact that you are male and that safeguarding is based on sex segregation in a publicly accessible provision. Particularly at schools where children need this even more so.

Please don't derail this thread as you have done on other threads. If you want a discussion, go and start a thread for yourself.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 04/02/2026 17:47

onepostwonder · 04/02/2026 17:22

This is your belief.

There are a lot of people in the world who absolutely should be kept away from vulnerable people, trans and not.

Your belief that trans children are a tool of predating males is disgusting. Your belief that trans children have been groomed is as accurate and as disgusting as the homophobic belief that same-sex attracted adults were groomed as children.

My belief is trans boys are boys and trans girls are girls. They are just moving through their lives as who they are. I find it hard to believe your conspiracy that all trans children and adolescents are motivated to sneek a peek or to flash their genitals amongst their peers. All trans people I've ever met are so dysphoric they find their genitals and sex characteristics painful for even themselves to acknowledge. They're going to change in as private a way as possible. Kids can absolutely support and recognize the belonging of trans children. It's their parents and other adults trying to cast them as criminals that is the safeguarding issue.

I'm not going to engage any further with derailing this thread with anyone arguing that girls (or boys) have no right to privacy and safety from the opposite sex.

You are entitled to your personal beliefs and to express them. But when you're on a board of predominantly women, many with children and many with professional and personal experience of safeguarding children, then you're going to get push back if you're arguing for the rights of men and boys to be alongside girls when they are undressed and otherwise vulnerable.

For too long the predatory belief that girls and women have no right to boundaries has been given a free pass by politicians and the powerful. That time is coming to an end and the OP's actions will help expose the grim reality of how our daughters (and sons) are being bullied out of having boundaries by organisations who should be nowhere near schools along with exposing the adults in schools enabling them.

Indeed.

I also cannot wait to hear exactly why any adult thinks it is not harmful at all to teach things that lower children's personal boundaries. Including suppressing the natural instincts that allow them to correctly identity a person's sex class.

Considering safeguarding principles in publicly accessible provisions are based on sex segregation which in turn is based on risk analysis at population level, telling any child that a male person is in anyway female lowers that child's boundaries. Especially in female children. Because if a female child doesn't report to an adult that a male person was somewhere he should not have been, that increases the risk of harm for that child and for all users of that provision.

There is no way around this. There can be no philosophising to dismiss this very real issue.

This, from the CoT email is very much on point:

@We understand your intention in celebrating Pride with the children was probably well meant and you did not intend to make it harder for CSA victims, including of men who say they are women to speak out, but this is what you have done.

Will they finally dare to understand? Or will they dismiss them as borderline outliers, ignorant bigots, or whatever?
