Yet another trans rapist

Here we go again. Not once, but TEN times. And why the hell is his electronic curfew counting as time served?! Would love to know if he’s going in a male prison as he’s too dangerous for a women’s prison.

What, how many 'transwomen' have been shown to be rapists?

On a population level, just one small section of male society.

Proportionately, the number of trans prisoners who are sex offenders is much higher than the proportion of male prisoners who don't ID as trans are sex offenders. Someone will have the stats.

I mean that TW are all seen as genuine women (by some people), then as soon as they are caught out they were never trans in the first place so don’t count, then they blissfully return to spouting that all TW are safe.

I wonder how many have been transitioned in this way so far?

@viques Tiny clarification - remand is custody, bail is non-custodial.

GoatBusted · 30/01/2026 18:07

Because they then reclassify the man as 'rapist gender' and say that this means they are somehow no longer 'trans'.

I wonder how many have been transitioned in this way so far?

Trying to find out where the 47% comes from. It seems to be via The Trevor Project. The 2015 version of the self-reporting survey by these people (link below to discussion about veracity of state from trans lobby groups using questionable tactics to recruit respondents). There is usually a reason why a source is not cited. Reasons include: disreputable/discredited, or not relevant (different definitions, time periods, geographical zones which undermine comparisons). In this case it's may be all of the above.

So few rapes are reported relative to the likely number committed, and such a tiny number of the ones reported end up going to court, that the TRAs could probably massage some statistics somehow.

A lot of people can't parse statistics, and as soon as they see numbers their critical faculties leave them, and they believe whatever they read.

Having some data on how many trans rapists would be great data regardless of however tras try and spin it.

We could compare it to the number of women rapists then.

I think this too @Retiredfromthere. Thank you. It is easy to get confused by statistics, but you unravelled that.

Well I found an article that unravelled it. I did not do this research..

I am quite taken with the stats of frequency of sexual abuse too. I have suffered sexual abuse five times in my life that I can recall, including twice as a child. I don't think that is too out of line with other women my age (60s). The difference in the average numbers of abuse incidents for average natal woman and transwoman is going to be vast. I am not including things like rubbing up against me in a crowded room either.

Man on Mumsnet objects to women speaking about a male rapist.

Same old, same old.....

Yep

itsthetea · 30/01/2026 16:49

Woman apparently are more likely to suffer PSTD than soldiers

and for balance - trauma leaves a mark on the brain and many transgender males have this mark - more so than men typically

which could ( amongst other things ) indicate that they have suffered trauma and transing may be a response to that

@NumbersGuy defending Rapists now?
Wow, you’ve sunk to an all time low haven’t you?
Do all your friends know that you support Trans Identifying Rapists?
I’m going to assume that you don’t actually have any female friends. The actual biological ones, not the ones in fancy dress.
😐

MarjorieWestriding · 30/01/2026 16:38

is ‘highly likely’ to be suffering from ‘complex PTSD’ and has a ‘history of trauma’.

A great many people suffer from complex PTSD and have a 'history of trauma' but it doesn't turn them into rapists.

ScrollingLeaves · 30/01/2026 16:33

deadpan · 30/01/2026 08:56

NumbersGuy proving a lot of our points without wanting to.
The main one for me is that youngsters identifying as trans have at some point likely experienced sexual assault/abuse.
That's why us awful horrible women cast doubt on whether they should be given drugs instead of counselling, which you call conversion therapy no doubt.

Exactly:all you’ve said. I agree.

ScrollingLeaves · 30/01/2026 16:26

EvangelineTheNightStar · 29/01/2026 21:32

but but poor Jordan has trauma… so we all need to feel sorry for him and say gosh it’s all ok, YOURE the real victim aren’t you!

is ‘highly likely’ to be suffering from ‘complex PTSD’ and has a ‘history of trauma’.

It is probably true and probably the real reason he thought he must be trans.

Of course it does not exonerate him or his rapes.

It does though go to show how ‘born trans’ is a cover up for multiple other factors really causing the body dysphoria, which get ignored because of the cult giving a false, neat ‘answer’.

I wonder if this man’s sex crime of rape will be truthfully recorded as a male crime?

moto748e · 30/01/2026 15:54

Well why don't TERF proponents just create a TERFsNet website

I suspect a 'TERFsNet website' would face the same problems as (to take an example at random) setting up a women-only rape crisis centre in Brighton.

MarjorieWestriding · 30/01/2026 15:04

Same here. My first experience of a predatory man was when I was SIX! Another man started grooming me when I was 13 but he was found out and I was removed from the situation. Police involvement twice.

I will not accept men in women's spaces, ever.

EdithStourton · 30/01/2026 14:49

47%, almost half, of all transgender people have been sexually assaulted at some point in their lives.
Yeah, mate, and I have been sexually assaulted half a dozen times in mine, the first when I was about 14 and the last about 20 years ago. And for a middle-aged woman, who has lived a fairly quiet life, that isn't unusual. One of my DDs had a situation that involved the police, it was so serious.

So do please pardon me NOT wanting blokes in women's loos, changing rooms and prisons, however they identify, because it opens a loophole a mile wide for all the pervy blokes out there, of whom there are far, far too many.

Oddly, I'm much keener to protect the physically weaker end of the human race than extend opportunities for assault to the stronger one.

Sick to fucking death of having to make this point.

FranticFrankie · 30/01/2026 14:45

Added to say that I don't know any woman in my circle or my family that hasn't experienced sexual harassment and/or assault
Some of them from childhood
Scary

FranticFrankie · 30/01/2026 14:41

Bore off numbers guy

"TERFs" do recognise the stats you present, but women are rightly more concerned with MVaWG as it is massively more prevalent. Do you think any 6'2" trans identifying male is more vulnerable than the average woman?

Violence against anyone is reprehensible but no excuse for you to have a pop at mumsnet or women who stand up for the rights of women.
Does 'hate crime' include hurty feels?

Just so typical, isn't it? And so patronising. And I'm sick of it

Since half of transgender people are female .. it’s not surprising that half have experienced sexual assault isn’t it ?

@NumbersGuy presumably is aware that natal females are doing the heavy lifting in terms of assault experience. Transwomen engaging in sex work may increase their odds. An interesting analysis of that 47% statistic here https://www.aaronkimberly.com/post/what-a-feminist-analysis-of-sexual-assault-data-reveals-about-transmen

Worth quoting:

'Firstly, let's break this down by sex: Transwomen and transmen.

A study by Abern et al reports that 50% of the transmen surveyed had been sexually assaulted, compared to 37% of transwomen.

The Trevor Project reports something similar: 49% transmen, 37% transwomen and 45% nonbinary. (Note that approximately 80-90% of those who identify as nonbinary are natal females.)

So, to begin with, we see that the majority of those who've been sexually assaulted are natal females, whether transmen or nonbinary.

Let's bring in another layer of information:

The same infographic by the NSVRC shows that 72% of the trans participants have engaged in sex work. Most trans prostitutes are transwomen.

We already know that prostitutes are victimized at a high rate. A key study of prostitutes in San Francisco reported that 68% of the participants had been sexually assaulted while engaging in prostitution.

Additionally, a 2024 study by Closson et al reported that transmen had the highest rates of all forms of violence (sexual assault, intimate partner violence, harassment and random assault).

So, by bringing together and integrating knowledge from multiple sources, what once appears to be a broad statement about trans victimization overall, actually breaks down as:

Natal females, regardless of gender identity, are more likely to be victimized (especially sexual violence)
Prostitutes are victimized at a high rate, which likely accounts for most of the sexual violence perpetrated against transwomen

What this data doesn't tell us is how many of the sexual assaults occurred prior to medically transitioning, and to what degree that may have been a factor in the motivation to transition. '

What a Feminist Analysis of Sexual Assault Data Reveals about Transmen

The National Sexual Violence Resource Centre (NSVRC) reported that almost half (47%) of trans and gender diverse individuals have been sexually assaulted at some point in their lives. This is an alarming figure but, numbers alone don't tell the whole s...
