Kiss Kiss (XX) My Arse. The ex Neighbours star has recorded a revised version of her 2002 no 1 hit, openly mocking transwomen and other woke concepts. Currently no 1 in the Australian charts apparently, available on Apple Music and Spotify. Looks like the Aussies have had enough (and still have a sense of humour!)

The reaction is in line with the current popularity of One Nation. As an Australian, I think this is not great. I understand that it is topping the charts but it is nothing to celebrate in my opinion.

This. The thread has been hijacked by the usual virtue-signalling about Reform and Tommy Robinson, but as you and others have pointed out, that's not actually the point here. The point is that a song with this subject matter has topped the iTunes chart in Australia.

Having watched Sall Grover fight a pretty lonely fight against this ideology, for years now, I am heartened to see the public sticking such a massive two fingers up at the establishment by supporting this song. I'm hearing that if it continues to chart like this, it might even have to played on mainstream radio?

Moments like this embarrass the establishment and make it harder for them to dodge the conversation. Like you, I think Holly is not the point. The public reaction is. I'd love to hear more on that from Australian women.

I am GC. I am horrified by what every party is doing to the rights of women and girls but anyone voting for Reform on this single issue and thinking that will improve the lives of women and girls is on a hiding to nothing.

They want to dismantle maternity rights. They have actively voted against strengthening anti-up-skirting legislation. They voted against strengthening laws to protect children online. They do not give two shits about women and girls (or boys) safety or wellbeing. We are just convenient political pawns in the game. Same as it ever was.

I agree. Much as I don't like to see the lazy "all Reform voters are swivel-eyed racists" line being trotted out as a way of dismissing them (they've risen to prominence because they will listen to people's fears (arguably exploiting them) when other parties preferred not to have to hear it), Reform is not a friend to women.
