Also I fully expect this thread to be reported by the TRA and deleted within 30 mins

Theeyeballsinthesky · 14/01/2026 07:56

Fuck me are the TRA really coming on here to try and blame women who recognise the reality of sex for this poor woman's rape?

there really is no barrel they won't scrape is there. You could put the bar in Hades it's so low and they still try and go under it. Weaponising rape to defend men in women's spaces with "women do it to". Fuck me - why yes you are the bad guys

this incredibly vulnerable woman was placed on a ward with men who allegedly raped her. The only reason that happened was because she identified as male and everyone in the hospital went along with it because the NHS has been stonewalled to hell. No one, not one person it would seem, went 'well look she's clearly female and vulnerable however she identifies and we need to keep her safe', no they just went 'ah well she's says she's a man and the policy says that means she is so male ward it is'

if your first response to the alleged rape of a woman is to think 'right how can I use this to defend the TRA position that single sex spaces are not needed' you really really are not on the right side of fucking history

This post may have actually broken my brain, it's so pretzeled.

If transpeople are more at risk of being raped, why on earth would anyone think it's a good idea to place them on wards with people of the opposite sex?

And this is our fault somehow? When we would advocate for protecting her from men and the poster wouldn't?

Jeez

CremeCarmel · 14/01/2026 07:53

Hoardasurass · 14/01/2026 06:49

Its not rape, its a serious sexual assault and there's no chance of pregnancy even from such horrific acts, also thats not the sort of thing women even in jail tend to do to each other, despite the claims of some MRA

Edited

You know what the poster means, right? So I don’t understand the pedantry. Is it just to prove that only men can rape? That assault with an object is somehow less impactful? I don’t think a victim would think so.

And I'm guessing nobody at the NHS will be held liable for this.

This is something that needs to change. There are senior people in the NHS promoting and sanctioning all this. There are (unless they've been withdrawn now) policies in certain NHS Trusts specifically advocating placing male sex offenders on women's wards.
That tells us a lot about the type of people writing this stuff and the nature of senior managers in signing off on all this.

They must be exposed and held to account for the crimes they're enabling.

TheKeatingFive · 14/01/2026 07:50

Gosh that is horrendous. Poor woman.

No this was a male psychiatric ward that this poor woman was put on and it was men who raped her!
No woman on this board is saying what she went through doesn't count.
This is a man's crime committed by men and facilitated by the woke NHS putting that woman on a ward that matched her gender identity this is nothing to do with terfs

Actually this woman was raped because the idiots in charge respected her gender identity and out her in a male ward. You have said before no one can tell who is trans, and women would never be able to tell the difference between a man and a woman claiming a trans identity. So how did these men know? Surely that kind of blows your argument about no one being able to tell out of the water doesn’t it?

So you think the hospital was correct to place this woman in a ward with behaviourally disinhibited men who possibly lack capacity in their decision making? And then claim it is the fault of women on here, who say her sex must be recognised in safeguarding, that she was raped??? Do you really believe the outcome would have been different if a woman who didn’t identify as a man was placed in the situation instead?

Can you provide evidence to back up your claim that trans people, not working as prostitutes, in the general population are at a higher risk of rape than women?

Also, this shouldn’t be happening in schools because we shouldn’t be lying to children. We shouldn’t be telling them they can change sex. We should be supporting them with their mental health.

The "terf" position is that single sex facilities matter because men rape women. Here we were once again proven right, and you deserve a medal for your absolutely insane mental gymnastics 🎖

TheBafflingIsGenerallyComplete · 14/01/2026 07:41

This is horrific, and the TRA’s and their allies will still find someway to justify it. This madness needs to stop. Humans cannot change sex, and their sex matters.

And I'm guessing nobody at the NHS will be held liable for this.

The judge has said the hospital is not on trial here. They fucking well should be.

The EDI department who no doubt spent public money on training from Stonewall or their ilk, the exec who signed off on captured policies, the clinical staff who risk assessed this by ideology not reality (though likely they'd be risking their jobs if they tried to object), they should all be on trial.

nomoremsniceperson · 14/01/2026 07:39

I'll be fucked if I'm "owning" the rape of a biological woman by biological men.

That's a non sequitor. Someone who has the capacity to know right from wrong and to choose between them might also have sufficient psychiatric issues that they need to be sectioned. Not all psychiatric issues lead to having zero such capacity. If their doctors had assessed them as having no such capacity the trial wouldn't be happening - it's been 3 years since the incident there has been plenty of time for such an assessment to be submitted and the trial cancelled if there was any doubt as to capacity.

Lots of trials happen where the accused is found to lack mental capacity by the judge. The trial still happens.

FFS not this whataboutery again 🤦‍♀️

Yes, women can be aggressors/abusers/attackers/paedophiles. We know this. But the number of them is vanishingly low compared to men. The degree of male violence, including sexual, against women (and other men) is off the scale compared to female violence.

This article really highlights the absolute necessity to protect women’s spaces from men. End of.

99% of all.sexual assault committed by males.

I'm unconvinced it's necessary to describe sexual assault in graphic detail.

ArabellaScott · 14/01/2026 07:31

Horrific.

MeltedSunshine · 14/01/2026 07:22

The lack of capacity is one of the issues that will be considered by the court. If these men did not lack capacity then that also suggests at that point they no longer needed to be in a secure psychiatric ward and should have been released.

Bloody hell.
She should not have been put in that place, whatever she ‘identified’ as. The doctors etc knew she was female.

and if the men ‘lacked capacity’, why are they on trial for the alleged crime?

Prettyneededbread · 14/01/2026 07:17

I think a serious sexual assault by women on a woman is an experience that shouldn't be minimized.
However, I don't see how the experience in US prisons is relevant for UK psychiatric wards.
