Most of the posters on this board have been saying this for years. It’s never been about Trans (hence the lack of discussion about transmen), it’s always been about Men (no matter how they identify). But TRAs only have “transphobia” to fall back on so they shout that as loud as they can because if you really look into it, everyone knows we are not being unreasonable to expect males to stay out of female single sex provision.

As for the OP (post not poster), what a load of over privileged bollocks. It’s the old adage that some people are so open minded that their brains have fallen out. But they are also selective in their supposed progressiveness as they fail to recognise that going along with gender ideology, negatively affects the most vulnerable in society in a big way. If they were really progressive, they’d have thought of that.

That said, I liked the snappy definitions of sex and gender, and I think they are useful:
Sex refers to your anatomy and biological characteristics – i.e. your chromosomes, hormones and genitalia
Gender relates to how you identify – how you feel in your heart and your head.

. 'how you feel in your heart and your head' is of huge interest to 'you', but why should it be of interest to the law, or education, or the media, or medicine, or whatever?

Making laws on the basis of people's feelings is dangerous, because future laws might just as easily forbid and punish feelings. Laws about acts, and in some cases about words, OK, but laws - far-reaching, intrusive and disturbing laws - based on people's feelings? I don't think so.

Feelings about sex are variable, controversial, subjective; the facts about sex are clear and precise. Clear, precise facts seem like a better basis for legislation than some [very few, in fact] people's feelings.

That's what the UKSC seemed to assert - it is the anatomical and biological characteristics of being male or female that are relevant, not feelings.

If women are terrified of people who they see as men using women’s bathrooms, then we have a much bigger issue than trans women using the same space. This is an indicator of how scared women can be to be alone in enclosed spaces with men – and this is a very real issue. Therefore, the bathroom argument really isn’t about a fear of trans women. It is a fear of men. A fear of rape culture. A fear of gendered violence. And that is the real conversation we should be having.

That's a non-answer. Trans men have not grown up with male privilege, and do indeed need to transition to benefit from it. A non-transitioned trans man can call themselves a man all they want in private, they still won't benefit from male privilege.

The bottom line is that trans people exist, therefore it is natural. Gay, lesbian, bi and pan people exist, therefore it is natural. Non-binary people exist, therefore – you guessed it – it’s natural."

Whether it exists is and is natural is no argument as to whether it should be supported by society. There are plenty of things that exist and are natural among humans, but which civilised societies rule as unacceptable and even punish.
