Is anyone else starting to doubt their own sanity?

I am seeing this, too. People I had previously thought to be sane abd sensible, posting stuff about being kind to "trans and intersex people".

Argh.

Not as much as I did two or three years ago because the tide is definitely turning.

There's nothing wrong with you. What's wrong is that "transphobia" simply means "not walking on eggshells around trans people, and not instantly acceding to whatever they demand." I was abused as a kid, and I recognise this dynamic for what it is: people fawning or freezing to placate abusers. It pisses me off that all this is supposedly happening in my name 😡I don't want this, and nobody needs this! Pretending otherwise is a lie, pure and simple.

I am also struggling to understand why there are so many people are pretending they can't see what's right in front of them.

If it becomes compulsory to join one of these weird belief cults, I'll be in the queue for flat earth. At least then I could honestly say I've never seen earth from outer space with my own eyes and photos can be manipulated, but I can't get on board ever with gender ideology as I can tell by myself who's male and who's female and fully understand the problems and safety issues that result from saying men can be women....

I think we've all been there, watching and listening aghast as ppl who should know better eg doctors, academics, teachers solemnly intone that TWAW and eg a women with disabilities not wanting a TW to do their intimate personal care is a bigot

they don't really think TW are actually women of course otherwise they'd be ignoring them, they just parrot it because they're too stupid to reason out the consequences to the end of the statement, to scared yo disagree or have the chilling effect of having a relative who identifies as trans

Yes, I know some very devout believers, and every now and again, I ask myself Cromwell's question: I beseech you, in the bowels of Christ, think it possible that you may be mistaken?

And then I think: nope.

But it doesn't even matter if I'm wrong. A secular society must accommodate people with different beliefs as far as practicable. I shouldn't be forced to share a changing room with a transwoman any more than I should be allowed to sack my Muslim employee for refusing to man the bacon slicer.
