No child is born in the wrong body - Kemi Badenoch. Letter to Wes Streeting

Saw this being shared on facebook. Quote:

No child is born in the wrong body.

I cannot believe we are back to square one, with NHS England backing an experimental trial of puberty blockers on healthy, vulnerable children, ignoring the damage already done.

The No1 rule of medicine is "do no harm".
This is activist ideology masquerading as research.

I'm urging MPs of all parties to sign this letter from me and Shadow Health Secretary Stuart Andrew for Daventry, calling for Wes Streeting to step in and stop this trial before more damage is done to children who are too young to understand what they are doing to themselves.

Part of the problem is that these children are depressed, anxious, autistic and there is zero support from the NHS. CAMHS is on its knees. But back in the day the moment they said they were trans it was straight to the Tavistock. Actual investment in supporting children’s mental health would be a lot more productive than funding this trial.

There's no evidence yet of a social contagion with the only study on the matter (ROGD) being discredited because of massive flaws in methodology.

Just assuming a theory isn't how the scientific method works.

Just assuming a theory isn't how the scientific method works.

But we should just believe doctors when they say they believe a treatment works (despite a lack of evidence)?

That isn't how the scientific method works either.

You can't deny the existence of ROGD. Just look at the figures of children being referred to gender clinics. Particularly teenage girls.

Children can't give informed consent to be sterilised and to have their sexual function impaired.

Streeting should say no. He doesn’t have to agree to a damaging trial on children.

Probelm for Streeting is that he is quietly going about a campaign to be the next Labour leader and he needs to keep his activist backbenchers on side. Labour are all over the place. There is no coherency or consistency. Leadership aims to appease activists on all sides.

So there have been trials of other drugs on children which are known to be harmful but there is little or no evidence of beneficial effects? And it's been decided to go ahead with the trial because a few doctors hold a passionate belief that they are effective (despite the lack of evidence)?

Can you post some links. This sounds fascinating.

Does the Ethics Committee publish its reasoning? I don't see how it's ethical simply from the timescale. It's too short to prove anything but long enough to risk damage.

Apparently they're not publishing it all, because of 'prejudice'.

“In this instance, we have concluded that the public interest in withholding the information until its planned publication, combined with the likelihood of prejudice, outweighs the public interest in immediate disclosure.”'

General suicide risk factors are evidenced based conclusions that you can freely google for research on.

There has been a well documented explosion in mental health issues in recent years, to which younger people are especially susceptible. Social media has amplified and escalated this trend. You cannot be unaware of this.

You would need peer reviewed research to draw any sound conclusions just like the standard puberty blockers was held to.

That has been difficult though hasn't it, because those involved in the gender industry have an interest in not doing follow ups. Yet, for those with genuine interest in actual peer reviewed longer term studies will know that studies have been done ( in Sweden, as but one example) that show longer term negative and adverse outcomes. It is also why New Zealand has now banned the use of puberty blockers.

IVFeltbetter · 26/11/2025 08:08

Surely there is already LOTS of data on the impact of “puberty blocker” drugs like buserelin as they are used to suppress the hormones during ivf cycles and have been for decades??? There will already be copious amounts of data on the hormonal, emotional and physical impact given how closely monitored those patients have been. They’re also used to treat prostate cancer and endometriosis. I fail to see why we need to recruit children to be tested in any way.

The WPATH files have been thoroughly discedited.

Have you read that by Reed? It is notably wrong.

You will, of course know, that Dr Rachel Levine ( former lead for health in the Biden administration, and trans identified) actually commissioned a report by John Hopkins University into gender transition and its health impacts, but then suppressed the findings because they did not confirm what he wanted them to confiirm.

Are you the poster who claimed 70 children coming out in one school was due to their mothers' drinking the same water?

According to meta analysis of studies by WPATH's in SOC 8 the treatments help.

Ultimately, its a consensus of medical experts that are only qualified in these areas.

The strategic reviews commissioned by WPATH were withheld because they did not show what WPATH needed them to. See page 32 in attached https://www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/23/23-477/328275/20241015131826340_2024.10.15%20-%20Ala.%20Amicus%20Br.%20iso%20TN%20FINAL.pdf#page42

I would imagine in the olden days people couldn't admit to or even give any indication of suicidality. People would commit suicide & it would never be known why.

I suspect the numbers are somewhat skewed these days because parental & societal support has substantially increased.

In terms of suicidality, we know just from general suicide risk factors that lack of familial & societal support are big ones so it stands to reason that trans people have an increased risk particularly if these are combined with other risk factors like substance addiction, depression, unemployment, discrimination etc.

There is plenty of evidence of 'social contagion'. Ask a teacher ( i was one myself, and my daughter now teaches) Girls are especially susceptible but also young people on the autistic spectrum. https://www.transgendertrend.com

Why on earth is ethics not stopping this

Because they’re bought into an ideology- and will lose too much to say the emperor has no clothes on.

I hope they’re all sued and names brought into the open.
