To find it heartening that despite so many famous people being anti JKR, their are still so many who are prepared to work on HP?

The end credits on the full cast audio takes 13 minutes. Hugh Laurie, Carl Prekopp, Mark Addy, Indira Varma.....and so many many names!

Then the TV series. Nick Frost, Warwick Davies, John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, Katherine Parkinson and (my favourite) Daniel Rigby.

I feel that the actors and crew are saying that they agree with her (or at least, dont disagree), without actually saying that they agree, if you see what I mean.

Men do not have a right to enter female only spaces, no matter whether they think they are men or women.

Cubicles are not the answer and you know it.

Cubicles make it even more dangerous. Get followed/pushed into one of those by a predatory male, and there’s no way out.

True but around 95% of transwomen retain their penis and testicles, so I always make a deliberate point of saying fully intact because it drives home that they are male in every way possible and can (and do) rape with their male genitals. Some people confuse trans women with trans men.

Oh absolutely but there is a group of be kinders out there that think a) transwomen have all had or are waiting to have their penis removed b) somehow men without a penis become if not women then certain not men which is bloody offensive to those who lose their sexed body parts to illness or injury.

And here is my usual reminder that men who are not 'fully intact' also remain male.
A woman who has a hysterectomy or a mastectomy or both is still a woman. The lad my husband held be medivac'd out of a war zone having lost much of his lower half to a IED was still a man.
Sex is encoded into every cell in the human body, it not located in an organ or two.
If a human is born male they will remain male until they die.

What are the rights that are being violated here?

Freedom to use necessary basic facilities. Self determination & bodily autonomy.

"And while about it do you think that biological women are entitled to privacy and dignity? Are these human rights worth standing up for?"

Cubicles in toilets already allow for that.

Men do not have a right to enter female only spaces, no matter whether they think they are men or women.

Cubicles are not the answer and you know it.

Are you saying JJR has no empathy for human rights violations as it's the absolute opposite case. She strongly supports women's rights .

Exactly. She is not a dick panderer, so to the Mens Rights Activists she is violating the 'human rights' of the male sex.

Switcher · 26/11/2025 08:55

Actually I'd be more encouraged if they didn't agree with her and saw art and personality as separate points. I still want to see Picasso paintings, doesn't mean I condone his behaviour.

Yes, you are going into a logistical nightmare again as with toilet policing. Good luck with that.

Edited

We've never had a problems 'policing' toilets or change rooms before, until around 10 to 15 years ago. Funny that. Funny how it has never for the almost century we've had female public toilets ever had a 'logistical nightmare' policing it. It's almost as if you are deliberately catastrophising and over-exaggerating the difficulty level to appease to men, as your argument doesn't hold any water.

In other words, consistency is a thing.

The male sex is consistently a threat to females.

Wearing a dress instead of a suit and tie doesn't change that. In fact, the risk is then even higher. That the male sex as a whole is a threat to the female sex is consistency.

The context here is cancel culture no longer being an issue & the implications of a free for all…which has consequences on how women are spoken about in terms of misogyny being more acceptable too.

As far as Katie Dolatowski goes, that a small minority of male teachers, priests, coaches, scout leaders are pedophiles doesn't mean we should ban males from working with children.

But we don't allow male teachers, priests, coaches or scout leaders to enter the ladies toilets or change rooms....

That there, is the difference.

crazylizardsss · 25/11/2025 15:21

Go on then, tell us, what are the consequences of not letting men who are pretending to be women use female only spaces?

Still waiting for you to respond to my earlier question about Katie Dolatowski, who raped a 12yo girl in a female only supermarket toilet, as you said that men who are pretending to be women and women face the same risks in such places?

They're cowards who never answer questions. It's why they lose each and every single time and why the feminists are winning the war and not them misogynists.

ThatBlackCat · 26/11/2025 08:38

godtierKaren · 25/11/2025 15:15

You could probably say the same for racists & misogynists feeling 'relieved' to finally let their 'hair down' in this post respect Trump world.

You can always rely on gender critical feminists to think there aren't any consequences for women in general for their pet carve out.

The misogynists are commenting on this thread...

Igneococcus · 26/11/2025 08:35

For example, most rapes of women are not reported therefore its impossible to know the extent of male violence to compare it with trans women.

That would only make a difference if there is a difference in the rates women report rapes by men compared to how they report rapes by transwomen (also men).

ThatBlackCat · 26/11/2025 08:29

godtierKaren · 25/11/2025 08:25

I don't have to. Its self evident reporting is not offending so that fact alone discredits any conclusion you can make about that chart.

Wrong. Reporting IS offending. SO that discredits your lies.

ThatBlackCat · 26/11/2025 08:27

godtierKaren · 25/11/2025 08:08

That chart has been proven as a misrepresentation of the situation. Incarceration is not the same as offending. For example, most rapes of women are not reported therefore its impossible to know the extent of male violence to compare it with trans women.

Now, it has not been proven a misrepresentation of women at all. You just don't like the facts handed to you. The fact is per capita representation of incarceration is an accurate marker and a fair representation and comparison. In fact, incarceration data is used for the benefit of many minority groups when data is compiled. So come up with another argument because that one does not wash.

godtierKaren · 25/11/2025 07:53

So you agree statistical percentages matter? That's progress. Now do trans women v 'biological' men.

And Canada:

At this point I think you are confusing trans women with trans men, because of the biological comment. Perhaps you don't know that transwomen are biological males and are male in every single way possible. I think you are confusing them with people born female (trans men).

Um, transwomen ARE biological men.

And here is all the evidence. UK, US, Canada and New Zealand.

You will see over only four countries that the trajectory is more than clear.

True, but according to Gender Critical logic 'that's a man problem'.

'Social responsibility for me but not for thee.'

Why do you think male on male violence is a problem for women to solve? Why can't men solve male violence?

Why should hens be worried about fox on fox violence?

Your posts are nothing but misogyny.

Females aren't exactly above committing sex crimes as well.

Females don't rape. And 98% of all sex crimes are by males, so stop with the misogynistic 'women do it too' bs.

People want to work on huge projects like HP for the sake of their careers, the pay, the fun etc. Not everyone lives their lives so politically. In fact, this stuff doesn't matter to most people. The trans community is so tiny that most people have never even seen one and never will. Trans issues simply aren't a part of regular people's lives, even though the amount of media coverage makes it seem that they're in every bathroom, changing room, and female sports team going.

I don't know if it's heartening. I'm sure that some don't agree with her views but aren't going to shoot themselves in the foot over trans issues.

Just this!

SoftBalletShoes · 25/11/2025 07:42

Tbf, I suppose there are a lot of men who would harass or beat up a man in a dress, heels, and makeup. And if the trans woman was someone who was on the smaller side and had done the full transition, including the hormone therapy and breast surgery, it's also possible that they would pass as a woman and get harassed and maybe attacked for being a woman in the male toilets. And if someone tried to rape a trans woman, there's a risk of them visiting even more violence on them on discovery that they're a biological man.

Not womens problem. Women are not HUMAN SHIELDS for blokes in dresses. Male on male violence is a problem for.....males to solve. Not palm it off to women and make women uncomfortable.

After all, as we are often told, there are these things called, wait for it....CUBICLES in the male toilets. Wonderful invention.

Gay men used to get beaten up in the gents... they never asked to enter the female toilets.

But you are denying biological realities. You are denying that a fully intact male remains a male when he puts on a dress.

By this logic toilets don't need to be separated but clearly they do for safety reasons that applies to both trans women & women. And given there's no evidence statistically of trans women being a safety risk to women then sharing toilets only makes sense.

Transwomen by their own admission have said they are safe in the males, the worst they get is a smirk. It's never been about safety, it's about VALIDATION and using women in the space around them as props for their validation.

And as males, and fully intact males at that, transwomen are a risk to women. Evidence shows transwomen sexually offend 5 times higher than other males.

Yes, I don’t quite get how if the “cubicles in toilets allow” for the privacy, why not just use the toilets for your sex? @godtierKaren has clearly stated trans people can get the privacy they want there?

Yep, it's like they don't realise how batshit their argument about "cubicles" is and why it doesn't work since there are cubicles in the MALES too. That there demolishes their 'gotcha' argument. So therefore, transwomen can use the cubicles in the.....MALES. Micdrop.

Denying psychological, behavioural & cultural commonalities is as silly as denying biological realities so I'm not interested in being drawn into that.

But you are denying biological realities. You are denying that a fully intact male remains a male when he puts on a dress.

You could say the same about racists who rationalise their racism as preventing 'harms' from cultural differences. But when you get down to it, it's usually garden variety ignorance from lack of exposure.

It's garden variety ignorance that says womens hard won rights to female only single sex spaces should be dismantled and that our foremother feminists who achieved those rights did all that work for nothing.
