If she has lost her license to practice, can she legally call herself a GP? Can she legally call herself an MD (medical doctor) in the USA? I don’t see how she’d be able to get insurance. Surely no insurance company would touch her with a barge pole, and if they did insure her I suspect they’d play dirty like she does, and claim her insurance is invalid, after taking a hefty chunk of her money.

I doubt it, if for no other reason than that I think she would be a nightmare to work with.

I'm sure she or others know how to hide money, but I'm not sure whether the best way to describe them would be accountancy and legal experts.

I believe it varies from state to state - some states it is not compulsory, yes like Florida, where Dr. Sidhbh Gallagher works.

Interestingly, she's not posted on Insta in 100 weeks, and her FB is down.

That's interesting how unpopular she is on trans reddit - normally packed full of the most credulous, vulnerable and susceptible to believing in the unscientific nonsense she peddles about 'magic' hormones people. I think they are cooked. The grift is approaching terminal decline. And I mean They. He is so clearly pulling the strings in the background. And ask yourself why an already retired or near retirement gastroenterologist with his GP wife would suddenly set themselves up as hormone experts. As my friend who is actually a consultant endocrinologist in the NHS says, that's a job for a specialist endocrinologist, right sex hormones and endocrine disorders are complex enough, never mind giving people huge doses of hormones their bodies weren't evolved to have. This is a retirement plan for a couple of massive grifters.

'Posting on the GenderGP website – which she moved to Spain in 2019 after being fined £12,000 by a UK court for running an unlicensed clinic, and is now based in Singapore – Dr Webberley added: "I had the choice to sit an exam and risk failing, which would have resulted in my license being withdrawn.

"Alternatively, I could choose not to book an exam and let the Registrar decide on an individual basis whether my license should be withdrawn.

"I opted for the latter, and the GMC’s decision is to withdraw my license on 19 July 2024...

"I fiercely fought to keep my license to practise during my GMC investigation process.

'There is no assurance that GenderGP’s services are safe or effective. GenderGP’s prescriptions by doctors based outside Singapore are also not recognised in Singapore," said the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).

MOH had warned GenderGP on Oct 22 to stop providing medical services to Singapore-based users, after finding that the platform's doctors based outside the country had provided teleconsultation and issued a prescription to one person here.

"GenderGP has been warned not to re-offend," the authorities said, adding that failure to comply can lead to a fine of up to S$100,000 (US$74,000), a maximum jail term of 24 months or both. Repeat offenders face harsher penalties.'

That was late 2024, so may explain the move to US.

I have no idea of the provenance of that website reporting, just a caution. Would be good to find reference from Singapore MOH directly.

On the premises that any publicity is good publicity, I’m a bit mindful of a statistic I heard recently that everything that was written about Donald Trump before his election a year ago (during the primary/presidential cycle) was worth about $2b in advertising that he didn’t have to pay for.

As I said upthread, I could only watch half the interview before I was too sickened. But, yes, it was a blatant sales pitch. Others have commented on the litigious obstacles to operating in the USA but if she does everything over zoom, never sets foot in the US and her company is incorporated somewhere that doesn’t allow a lot of scrutiny of financial details, she may do all right for herself (all a la Andrew MW as he is showing how it’s done).

I hope that her American grift will fail dismally and she will end up in court where she belongs. Wake up USA!

I was puzzling over why she’d do this interview but that 👆🏼 makes perfect sense. It’s free promotional material as she moves into her new market. IMO, I’m reminded of my ex BiL. He was convincing even when lying because he half believed his own lies. Ultimately, regardless of impact, it’s a way of making a lot of money.

I'm afraid this may be correct. Which would explain why the interviewer asked for, and she supplied, the exact cost of monthly treatment.

Outrage just helps spread the message.

However, it also spreads sunlight.
