And I believe that when reporting this, the BBC got a gender studies professor to come on as an ‘expert’ and affirm that the milk was just like the mother’s milk. That was the BBC’s idea of expertise and a balanced article.

Honestly the stuff about drugs and hormones and nutrition is just a side-argument, if not irrelevant.

First and foremost, even if this man was able to produce more than a drop of milk that was indistinguishable from the mother's, it would still be depraved.

Mothers nursing their children is good and wholesome and about the bond as much as it is about feeding. A man trying to do the same is sick. Imagine growing up and finding out your dad had used you like that? He took pictures of it in the hospital? Nauseating.

There has been at least one male person with a transgender identity who has written about this and said, “this is wrong”! Dr Deutsch.

I believe Dr Deutsch is a director of clinical services at the Center of Excellence for Transgender Health at the University of California San Francisco.

Australia seems very captured. I do hope some of our progress will have some effect over there.

The endocrinologist says there's no risk to the baby but how can she know?

I feel sorry for Jasmine Sussex who's a volunteer, giving her time to help other women and now she faces this. Nobody's going to be volunteering in Australia if that's where it lands them.

Also, this is a fetish, a sexual thing, so how can this be allowed?

How can this be considered normal, the amount of hormones and quite strong chemicals this baby would have ingested - surely it cant be good for it???

I know this isn’t in the UK. But why the hell aren’t social services stepping in and removing babies from any man attempting this? (I mean, I know the answer, but it’s what should be happening).

Appalling. That little baby was abused within an hour of its birth. And the mother let him.

This is where I almost wish for a group of moderate trans people to get together and challenge these self indulgent individualists, and say not in my name.

WTH!! He takes ‘a range’ of medications!! For a start, the testosterone suppressing drugs doesn’t even have anecdotal evidence of being safe in breastfeeding women because women don’t have male levels of testosterone needing to be suppressed.

The other drugs may or may not have been used in women before but not in men who have different bodies.

Ms Buckley said her endocrinologist helped her mimic pregnancy to produce milk and used a range of medications to suppress testosterone, boost oestrogen, and trigger the production of the milk-producing hormone prolactin.

Hie can this woman confidently state that there are no risks to the infant while also stating the scientific evidence was non existent ‘limited’. And anecdotal ‘evidence’ of other men with a breastfeeding fetish is not a normal medical standard, especially when it comes to infant health - surely?

I really hope she is sued heavily and prosecuted when these kids are old enough to understand the disgusting experiment she subjected them to.

Endocrinologist Naomi Achong, who treated Ms Buckley, conceded the scientific evidence on the subject was 'limited' but said her experience with breastfeeding by transgender men had been 'exclusively positive'.
'There are no risks to the infant but rather extended benefits to the infant and both parents,' she told The Australian.

'Whilst there may only be limited public data, there is considerable anecdotal evidence supporting this practice.
'Similarly, whilst not common practice in Australia, it is approved and supported in other countries.'

And yet women are blasted for daring to have a glass of wine or a cup of coffee while breastfeeding. Fucking hell.

So their baby boy was exposed to anti-androgen medication via the induced lactation because this person wanted validation.

If we're to be frank, it's not delusional, it's depraved. The well document erotic fixation that many transwomen have with their exogenous oestrogen stimulated gynecomastia (often surgically augmented) is well documented. It's unconscionable child endangerment to expose infants to that.

The strong sense of revolt that most adults feel about the topic, actually serves to censor and obscure the topic which has steadily increased in prevalence in the West.

From what I read, Jasmine Sussex has challenged Buckley to prove that the substance male people on all the same drugs expressed was thoroughly analysed to be safe and as nutritious as mother’s breastmilk.

I doubt that will be presented in court.

The concerning thing is this man was not the only one that the Endocrinologist gave the drugs to.

This endrocrinologist has spoken at AusPATH about this, and has 'assisted' FIVE other males to do this, I suspect each state in Australia will have some males to have done this already and quite a few more will be aiming for it.

Dr Naomi Achong, a former president of Australian Professional Association for Trans Health (AusPATH), is the Brisbane endocrinologist who recommended Ms Buckley breastfeed Auden.

It is understood she has helped five other transgender women breastfeed.

Dr Achong spoke on the topic of 'lactation induction in transfemales' at a AusPATH conference last weekend and her talk was one of the most booked events.

“What’s not in dispute is that Ms Buckley did discharge a fluid she characterised as breastmilk and proudly fed her baby boy soon after his birth, a scene she had photographed. Prior to signing up for the sex-change surgery, she had frozen the sperm used to impregnate wife Sandi, who steadfastly supported Adrian through transition. She was diagnosed with the auto-immune disease multiple sclerosis before becoming pregnant.”

“A committed couple of nearly two decades standing, they made no secret of how their son was nourished during his first days of life, with Ms Buckley venturing into the media and posting online to describe breastfeeding him.”

“As she later explained to British website parentingqueer.co.uk: “I didn’t realise that it could be an option for myself. My endo­crinologist helped induce lactation by mimicking pregnancy in my body.”

”The process was exacting. Her oestrogen levels were boosted to those of a pregnant woman through hefty oral doses of female sex hormones. Next, she used off-label a drug called domperidone – an anti-nausea medication – to produce prolactin, a key hormone responsible for bringing on and sustaining breast milk in women after childbirth.”

“Finally,” she wrote, “I was on an anti-androgen (drug) to suppress my testosterone called ­cyproterone and suppress my ­testosterone it did, to undetectable levels. Along with this, to encourage lactation, I had a daily routine of using a breast pump to encourage my body to express milk.”

“At first, it was only a small amount but gradually increased … producing approximately 40-50mls per day. It was amazing that I was able to produce this amount.”

“Ms Buckley said the couple had agreed Sandi was “always” going to be the primary feeder, and her part would be supplemental, but not long-term, as the MS treatment Sandi had suspended to undergo IVF was to recommence a month after she gave birth.”

”For her part, Ms Buckley was to have cut her oestrogen intake two weeks before the baby’s due ­arrival, again to simulate what would happen to a pregnant woman. Their son had other ideas, however, and emerged a fortnight early. Sandi endured complications from the birth and struggled to breastfeed.”

”Fortunately, Ms Buckley had been freezing her lactate for three months, providing a reserve.”

“The doctors and midwives were reluctant to allow her to breastfeed in the hospital, concerned by “my ability to be able to do so and went as far to have discussion with my wife when I wasn’t there and wanting her to sign waiver forms and to declare my blood infectious status”.

”Discharged two days after delivering, Sandi became ill at home from retained placental fragments and was rushed back to hospital by ambulance.”

”“This meant that the only food our baby was getting was from the breast milk I had stored and was able to feed from my breasts, which wasn’t a lot,” Ms Buckley wrote. “All the stress associated with the childbirth and the emergency at home meant my body stopped producing milk. The night she went back to hospital via ambulance we decided that we would formula feed from now on.””
