The bbc are reporting the Times story but when the bbc approached the IOC they were told they were still working on it. The bbc are reporting that is likely there will be change.

Yes we need to ensure only natal women compete in women’s elite sports but it needs to be done in a legal way which states clearly why, the IOC is obviously being very careful to ensure nobody can fight it

The previous studies used to justify males competing in the female category were so ridiculously poor. One was of fewer than 10 men who had “transitioned” and it included the researcher. One person was excluded as they didn’t fit the pattern and had better times after transition. They didn’t account for age so were comparing the self reported times someone got in their 20s versus their 40/50s. It’d be hard to invent such a bad study.

So many people were taken with this craze that their brains stopped working.

The next time you hear about something mad happening in history and think how crazy they were to believe such nonsense you just have to think of this and what people will think in the future.

It is galling that they still pandered to the insanity to the point of pretending that a 'scientific review' was necessary to determine what anyone with an ounce of common sense has known all along, but at least they (finally) made the right call on this one.

The simple solution is to ban anyone with an SRY gene, as the number of Swyer Syndrome individuals affected is likely to be vanishingly small. Or, ban anyone who has ever had normal testes including internal ones. But I am wondering whether they actually will do this, or whether they will seek to continue to include CAIS.

Even if it did remove male advantage, the women's section is not for artificially hobbled men, and it still denies women opportunities because women can't dope up to gain equivalent male advantage and compete as men.

Yes, it's easy for something fully measurable like a race where you can just compare the speeds and finishing places, but for match-based sports like boxing or badminton, it's impossible because the cheating men will have fucked up the entire process. Every result and dependency will be off. And even in races, the men will have denied competitive spots to women, so actually for all we know, the ones who would have won medals never got to compete in the first place.

I could absolutely weep for all the women who lost out on opportunities, medals, prize money, careers, for this absolute shitfest that literally everyone knows is a lie.

If CAIS males are female, then why are they not exactly like CAIS females in terms of their development?

I can get on board with CAIS males being regarded as women and girls in the general scheme of things, but not when it comes to sport.

Unfortunately all women’s sports in which men have participated under false pretences have medal tables that are demonstrably false and the result of corruption. The simplest remedy is to remove the men from the list and give the top performing women the medals, but it will never make up for those women who were knocked out of the competition early because they were unfortunate enough to meet a male opponent sooner rather than later.

There have already been a number of trans identified females playing sport at high level and delaying taking hormones until they retire.
I'm not knowledgeable enough to name them all but there have definitely been two non binary identified females in the skateboarding at an Olympics. The commentator went to great lengths to explain they they could enter the category as they were female....
Also a New Zealand rugby player waited until retirement to publicly transition although team mates were aware.
I am sure they are not alone as women know that they cannot compete against men.
