Credit to the Daily Telegraph for their investigative reporting - exceptional.
Recently, they researched and broke the Rayner scandal, and now BBC bias.

We had evasion and belated fake contrition from Rayner, and now we have Tim Davie jumping before he is pushed.

Keep up the good work DT!

Agree, they've been responsible for some phenomenal journalism recently. I'd re subscribe if they didn't make it a Sisyphean endeavour to cancel.

It's about Trump. did he jump or was he pushed, I can't imagine the PM was very pleased with the revelations about what they did to Trump, given he's being trying so, so hard to curry favour with him.

Thank goodness he's left, he was running the BBC into the ground. Hopefully the next one actually steers it properly as a decent for-everyone media outlet.

The bias within the BBC is structural - it will require root and branch reform, failing which, dismemberment.

I am not optimistic with respect to the former.

I think that's wishful thinking. They will apologise and go back to ignoring women's rights.

I don't want to see the demise of the BBC but with Nandy as the Minister and the BBC chair still in situ nothing is likely to change

They may fear Trump due to the threat of being sued but they don't care for ordinary licence fee payers - 51% of the population aka women.

Good for the BBC governing board and good for Davies. When is the last time we've seen high level leadership take responsibility and resign?

I don't think for a minute it was altruistic. They fear being sued by Trump, which would financially break the BBC so they had to go. Davies and Shah knew about the false reporting in May and deliberately sat on it.

They had an agenda which is likely anti Trump, pro trans & pro Palestine and used the considerably resources of the BBC to further their agenda. There is no way Davies wasn't aware of the bias in various departments. It would be bleeding obvious to anyone working there.

TD also lied when he testified at the select committee saying he had seen no complaints re trans issues. I am sure I am not the only person who has complained about the way they cover them.

That may be true - they didn’t show them to TD and he didn’t ask if there were any. There’s none so blind as those who will not see.

Absolutely. Early yet, but all about Trumpity Trump and not a dicky bird about anything else, and definitely not a squeak about TRAs running the whole sorry shitshow when it comes to stories that do fuck all except tell the public how bloody brave and stunning the men are.

Even the earlier bbc news story about the whole mess finished with a few little lines about trans and Maxine Croxall tagged on at the end like an afterthought.
