There is no point trying to understand right wing women, logic obviously isn’t their strong suit. For men it is very difficult to shame them for their political opinions but for women, social ostracisation is an incredibly effective tool. Women on the left used to understand this but for some reason don’t lean as heavily on it anymore, which is a shame.

If it doesn't discuss the morally superior authoritarian Left then it's not going to be a great deal of use in analysing how things stand at the moment.

TBH I think it's an American book by an American writer, about American politics, and therefore not something I'm going to spend masses of time on.

Because we are not the US, and our left and right are different, and there's more than enough bollocks going on here to be getting on with.

For instance, Reform are currently massively ahead of any other party in the polls.

Those who are upset about this have a choice. They can ask 'why' and actually listen to the answers, or they can smear, deride Reform voters and bemoan the inevitable loss of the next election.

Its the consequence diversity and inclusion, not comercial reality. And it doesnt reflect a true picture of the country and therefore seems forced.

Its difficult for an advert to be truly representative given theyll be only say three people in each advert. No company wants be highlighted as only speaking to white people, so are more likely to request non white actors. It means that half the adverts have black actors.

What is happening is that the left (for want of a better word) are allowed to highlight skin colour and say adverts dont represent them, but the right, arent allowed to comment when it looks unrepresentative to their lives.

I would say that adverts are skewed towards black actors, and miss asian, older peope, disabled and non english speakers. But that maybe just about where i live.

That was a deeply inappropriate way to describe victims. He wasn’t condoning the rapes but definitely described the victims inappropriately the article you linked to also shows him apologising. We could spend eternity giving examples of where the right wing and left wing have made derogatory comments about women. In the case you linked to there was an acknowledgment that they were at least victims but parts of the right wing would suggest (if the attackers were white) that the women had brought it on themselves.

The victims in the Rotherham case were a certain demographic. They were vulnerable due to their home environment and there is no doubt that their attackers held the view that they were “poor, white trash” which they felt entitled them to their bodies. It went on for so long because nobody cared about these children.

The right wing would prefer that peadophilia is kept firmly within the family!
