What's happening with girl guides?

Perhaps I am a simpleton, but I don't understand what's so hard about interpreting and implementing the Supreme Court decision. It didn't change the law. It clarified what the law was and made clear that many organisations had made policy changes based on an incorrect understanding of the law. All they had to do was look through their policies and ensure that they now comply with what the law has always been. Yes, this means having some hard conversations with trans-identified males and their families. It also means keeping on the right side of the law and protecting themselves from legal challenges from girls and women excluded from GG because of their stance on self-ID. Surely the insurers have had something to say about this?

I resigned because of this. Gutted that I had to do so- i could not be part of a organisation set up for girls, but able to be infiltrated by men at any time

So disappointing/insane. They are putting young girls at risk totally unnecessarily.

I might not last much longer, I get the rage when I see them posting about how inclusive and welcoming they are to all girls. They're not. You can't claim to be inclusive when you are highly selective about who is allowed in GG. One day I will say something which will break the code of conduct and I'll be out.
The trans issue hasn't affected me at a unit level. The minute it does (ie a TIM wants to join) i will bow out, unfortunately that will mean the unit closes so everyone loses.

I have boys but my some of my rellies were very involved with Guiding, particularly to include groups that weren't usually catered for.

Im a leader hanging on by a thread. I used to be a trainer, commissioner, mentor etc and I've held a number of high level regional roles in the past. There are still many thousands of excellent women doing their absolute best for girls at grass roots level.
HQ however is a quagmire of captured overpaid out of touch staff, sat in an office worth millions on Buckingham Palace road while they sold all our activity centres and threw out all their overseas members.

I gave up all my mentoring roles because I can't stand up in front of new and potential members and say GG is a good organisation. It was. It isn't any more. I am waiting for my current girls to age out (about 3 years) then I'll go. I hope I make it that far.

I struggle to express my levels of contempt for these people turning a formerly fantastic organisation for girls into a vehicle for men to enact their fetish.

They didn’t even learn when ‘Monica’ Sulley revealed how utterly unsuitable a man he was to be around children.

Now we've returned to guiding after the summer break, and in light of April's Supreme Court ruling, we want to remind members that our policies and procedures have not changed. Further guidance should be issued from relevant external places in the coming months and we’ll share more information on what it means for us as soon as we can.

So as of yet, it seems nothing has changed. Obviously that statement puts volunteers in a position of breaking the law vs breaking the GG code of conduct, so its an absolutely ridiculously position to be in.

I know they allow males, 'who identify as female's to be guide leaders, including sleeping in same accommodation as the young girls. One such leader is a fetishism and pervert.
