We should hold people in authority to account and insist on honesty, transparency and speedy action in dealing with organised child rape. Khan is in a position of authority and his deflections are shameful.

Casey’s recommendations should be properly implemented . Any inquiry into what has happened must not cover up the racial aspect of the offenders.
The victims voices must be listened to and they must not be dismissed/ patronised or manipulated . Jess Phillips also has questions to answer.

Why is it that the voices of every other group ( whether race/ religion or the trans lobby ) trump the protection of women and girls.

Sigh. I am very disappointed with Sadiq. Horrified to hear of victims dropping out of the enquiry. I agree govt handling has been terrible. I certainly think grooming gangs are everywhere and blase dismissal does not help.
We need to drag all this out in the open.

Thanks for that, @RobynHoodie . After I posted, I did look for another source and saw he'd been appearing on things like Talk that I didn't want to share, so stopped there. Birchall is usually sound so I'm surprised too. In fairness, she does preface it with 'if one whistleblower is to be believed.' You're right, I should have checked him out first.

When you consider how useless the childrens charities have been in speaking out about how harmful gender ideology is to children-they are not fit for purpose.

Julie Bindel has just published an essay about the (apparently) wilful blindness to grooming gangs in London.

Back in 2006, Wedger submitted a list of 50 youngsters who had been groomed and sexually abused in the capital, providing details such as the car-registration numbers of the perpetrators. But he was told to back off by social services, and even a large children’s charity, because he was generating “extra work”.

Thanks to the PP who posted the DM article by Yasmin Alibhai-Brown about the attitudes of family members of offenders. Women raised in a misogynistic and abusive environment can be misogynistic themselves. Although it isn't the focus of the article, it is horrible to think of so many women trapped in abusive marriages.

I do not wish to be absolute when I donlt know, but I would be astonished to find that you are wrong.

At the very least anyone and everyone in power in local government needs to be on the case trying to make sure that there are no unheard voices and uninvestigated crimes. To assume "nothing to see here" is outrageous.
