There is an aspect to this that I have asked about and never got an answer for. If the majority of people with transgender identities reject this kind of behaviour, where are they publicly stating this.

Perhaps they reject the behaviour yet want the outcomes the small group are campaigning for?

Perhaps they are too scared to speak out due to the reactions of their group, which then will dispel the entire ‘kindness’, ‘love’ and ‘tolerance’ we are told that movement embraces?

So they want it to go away but are happy to co-opt the facilities of the opposite sex? A lot of women are vulnerable, easily frightened and intimidated, but we’re just expected to accept that “trans people” are even more worthy of protection? Why? If violent women were going around smashing up trans conferences and intimidating trans people, would you expect other women to condemn this?

I’m not sure that there is such a thing as a ‘regular trans person’. People with trans identities include people with conditions like autism and PTSD, people with a history of childhood abuse, gay people with internalised homophobia. It also includes incels, misogynists and people with personality disorders. Some have a combination of these characteristics.

Many of the people drawn to having a trans identity are vulnerable people who are easily frightened and intimidated. They really do just want to live their lives outside of the spotlight. Those in this group would not condone or condemn this kind of behaviour, they just want it to go away.

Many others are full of anger and resentment and are drawn to hostility and aggression. They would happily encourage and support this behaviour.

But they do represent “ regular trans people”. Do you have any proof they don’t? Otherwise those who don’t agree with the violence would be condemning it wouldn’t they?

Are you thinking violent men would pretend to be trans to intimidate women? But we were told that would never happen and all “transwomen” or those claiming to be are in fact “transwomen”. So by their logic, they are trans ., so represent trans rights and hate women speaking so much they must prevent it with violence.

Is it basically the same group of people who are carrying out this violence at feminist meetings? I suppose we don't know, since they are masked.

I like to believe that this ghastly group of terrorists/anarchists don't represent regular trans people.

I can't believe they're allowed to get away with it. They'd stop turning up if they weren't allowed to do it.

I don't think they care about trans rights at all. I think they're just criminals who want a cause so that they can be violent.

I just keep coming back to thinking how scared those women must have been. It must have been terrifying to be smashing windows whilst knowing that at any moment you may cease to exist because someone calls you a man.

I had to have a mental health day which is why we were short-staffed and hadn't gotten around to it yet - are you saying just because we're trans we can't have a day off from destroying things? Unsurprisingly #MACS2025, our men’s conference in solidarity with #FiLiA2025 has not been infiltrated, protested or attacked by activists. Nobody claimed we were in #Brighton to cause tension / be provocative. Despite the fact that some of the women speaking at FiLiA also gave their time to speak to us. Despite the fact that all of our male speakers acknowledge the importance of sex-based rights. What do you make of that?

Thanks for the link @socialdilemmawhattodo, hard to watch in places but a very powerful debate, I can totally understand why you have followed him! As a newbie MP back then he listened to women. I think Peter's description of the ways in which violent men are adept manipulators, that work the judicial system to perpetuate their abuse through violence or the threat of violence, so that they can continue to hold their power and control over women and children, translates well to TRAs. Back then his call for the need of separate safe spaces (at the family courts) he echos in a response to an email I sent to him re L Community, Southwark and the failure to supply SSS. So hopefully he'll get vocal and do something constructive about Bash Back (we can hope)

Dont be disingenuous. Hamas are not exactly pro-women. Israeli women and girls have been taken hostage and raped and sexually assaulted. Palestinian women and girls have been killed in the bombing and starved alongside their children. We are supposed to support ALL women, not just the "acceptable " ones.

Questions were left for them about what they intended to do about the obvious safeguarding loopholes that had allowed this movement to achieve political capture, and which could so easily be exploited again by other movements.

They are encouraged by the police, who calmly watch these men attacking dissenters and rarely make a move to protect the victims (usually women).

That is a longboard, not a normal sized skateboard. Very easy to hold at one end using the metal bits the wheels attach to as a handle. You then have a 2 1/2 foot long "club" with metal at the other end to add momentum to any swings.

A bit like an umbrella - a decent-ish weapon with plausible deniablity.

I was watching Samantha Smith's video on X of the protestors, ending on a lingering shot of a teenager weakly waving a tiny trans flag while clutching his skateboard, like a kid with a security blanket. 😆
