199 Days Later national day of action

I just wanted to draw your attention to the march planned for the 1st November in London. The organisers have now announced that there will be a 199 Days Later demo in Edinburgh, Scottish Parliament, and a demo in Cardiff, the Senedd, at the same time. Hopefully lots more women can now attend the closest action to them.

Cardiff – very noisy group of protesters very close to the Senedd steps.

The policing was badly done. The police let them move forward more and more over time and to be honest if the protesters had pushed it physically there weren’t enough police, and they weren’t being organised well enough, to have sorted that out.

However we were treated to a series of extraordinary chants, and the clear expression of male violence along with watching what appeared to be vulnerable, lost, young people.

In a crowded field, the best poster was probably the one that said:
”Biological sex is what I had with your mother last night”.
We were scratching our heads over that one.

In London, we could hear some background noise from them, but we had a microphone and there was a building between the groups.

We really did walk past them and I don’t think many of us paid them much attention.

I have been watching on TwitteX and everyone seems to have had a great time.

Amazing banners.

Shout out to the Cardiff group who had to put up with bad policing and noise. Fortunately, London and Edinburgh police showed what they could do!

Photos on X look like a great day, although also some scuffles between police and trans activists. It appears no women have been arrested for the literal violence of brolly touching.
