I see it as accurate. She quoted Hitler all properly in quotes and didn’t even forget to cite Mein Kampf as the Hitler authored source either.

Was it in the context of condemning Hitler or Nazis? No

Admittedly not read the thread (preferring the other thread about all the things JKR must have been guilty of) but it seems half hearted to stop at accusing her of "quoting" Hitler, when with a little extra effort they could accuse her of "being" a reincarnated Hitler.

Someone could be happily rabbiting on about something and in no way silent, but just doesn't mention a particular subject in the a particular way.

Anyone who uses it should be cancelled regardless of their political alignment, just cos they are lazy, illiterate click baiters.

JKR has done a Holocaust minimisation by quoting Mein Kampf by Hitler just to tweet a basic moral comment that murder is wrong no matter how awful you may think a person’s opinions are.

This is categorically antisemitic.

Keep in mind, Mein Kampf (My Battle) isn’t wholly a memoir. The part she quoted, he wasn’t writing about how he used political violence for his own gain, he was writing his plan for success.- “'The very first essential for success is a perpetually constant and regular employment of violence."

Chillingly, Hitler defined success as a Germany rid of Jews (Judenrein), because he thought Jews were subhumans.

She has literally compared the murderer of a minor political activist to Hitler himself, and the plan for this murder to Hilter’s plan for the genocide of millions of Jewish people. Both plans ‘succeeded.’

I should not need to say that this is Holocaust minimisation and JKR should receive a lot of flak for this.

The memory of the Holocaust isn’t to be appropriated like that to shock jock a public controversy so you get those tons of views and upvotes on X (which can be monetised - not that she needs more money).

Yes JKR, murder is wrong. Try and post that without disrespecting the Holocaust. If you really feel a need to mention ‘fascism’ you can also do that without quoting Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf!!

IIRC someone at a Let Women Speak event a while ago referenced the concept of The Big Lie: the idea that if you repeat a big enough falsehood often enough it becomes unchallengeable (which I hesitate to explain as that apparently makes me literally Goebbels, & in favour of murdering all my children whose names all began with H when the jig was finally up) & the TRAs were all “Posie Parker endorses Goebbels”.
