JKR accused of 'quoting hitler'

I did not misquote JKR’s description of goblins. I linked the lexicon which references each book each part of the description is from. Here is more detail

So basically … JKR did answer the question, but that was unacceptable.
If JKR did decline to answer the question that would be unacceptable.

If she answers, she’s a witch and if she refuses to answer that proves she’s a witch…

Surely it is for JKR to answer a question directed to her? It would be rude to answer on JKR’s behalf.

Since JKR deflected and did not answer the question, yes that is unacceptable.

Saying ‘no comment’ to a question asking if one includes Hitler on the list that includes fundamentalists, totalitarians and terrorists does imply you don’t think he belongs on the list.

I think we all know the answer to that. They wouldn't dare. They wouldn't have the guts. It's simply hypocrisy and attempt to goad in bad faith.

People who scream at protests where women are present are nothing like Hitler.
That is minimising the Holocaust to use Hitler & his victims (6 million Jews) in direct comparison to any street protest even civil unrest and riots that result in dozens killed.

JKR should have condemned Hitler, by saying yes I include Hitler in that.
Instead she quoted him.

She purposefully selected a Hitler quote on his plan for how to kill all Jewish people in Europe as her clap back to a Jewish woman on X asking if JKR would condemn Hitler.

The way the conversation reads, JKR did not answer the question, instead she deflected by quoting one element of Hitler’s plan to genocide all the Jews in Europe as her answer.

That has caused me a lot of discomfort and concern about JKR, and not for the first time.

And for the hard of thinking, she's referring to the people who accuse gender critical feminists of fascism, and then set a good example by showing up at women's rights events with balaclavas and weapons to intimidate and assault women.

How on earth can these people be so lacking in self awareness as to think other people are the Nazis?

JKR did not cross any ethical line by pointing out the similarity between TRA tactics and those of fascists, using a quotation from the evil Hitler to do so.

Just as well you're off though, it will give you some time to practice reading comprehension and critical thinking skills.

I do not support TRAs. I am gender critical as anyone.

It is so upsetting to read these comments as I am Jewish.

I guess there is no ethical line JKR can cross without you applauding.

I have not reported the posts because I am not a TRA, but responses like this really really have me wondering if Jewish women are not welcome on the sex matters, a woman is an adult human female view of things.

I left the thread due to the blatant antisemitism on display by posters joyfully competing to display their creative writing skills to call me an antisemite in supposedly funny ways- it appears the you’re a self loathing Jew trope is just a scratch beneath the surface when anyone Jewish happens to be uncomfortable with the Holocaust being appropriated and minimised by specifically quoting passages written by Hitler.

Yes. That poster reads like a classic racist and antisemite. No one even thinks like that, unless they are racist and bigoted. I've come across several TRAs that have said the most awful and shocking racist things, really cruel racist things. Oh, and not to mention their homophobia. It's a trifecta.

I think I remember reading that Judas Iscariot was meant to be a redhead, which was the origin of the unfavourable view of red hair in certain Western cultures (although Judas got stuck with red hair because it already had associations from even earlier cultures).
