I haven’t seen anyone denying men who are deluded exist.

Perhaps the issue is that we refuse to describe that group using the unique words for female people as they demand that they are described?

But they do exist. Or are we saying anorexic people don't exist now?

Being delusional doesn’t mean they’re not men.

Which is why I described them as 'men who identify as women'.

yes. There is a group who falsely categorise themselves as being women. Is the issue you have that we will not use the any female language to describe them?

They have taken the word 'woman' and twisted it to make it mean something other than it is. Why should society participate in using the word 'woman' in connection to these men, when they are not in anyway female?

By all means, some people can categorise them as 'transgender identitifying men' if it makes them happy. But not one person on this earth should feel compelled to use any language referring to female people in referring to this group.

Well, that wasn't the question. Somebody with a persecution complex may not actually be persecuted but they still have the complex.

Yet, there are some clear definitions around what could be considered persecution for someone to be able to accurately evaluate whether they are or are not persecuted.

No male person can accurately state that what they are interacting in the world as female person would be. It is impossible. They can only ever falsely categorise that how they interact in the world is how a female person would. Based on their own perceptions on how female people interact that may be accurate to some degree or they may be very false.

And each male person who makes this claim is using a completely personalised criteria for making that claim.

The only thing they have in common is that they are male people who reject that they are interacting with the world within the category of a wide range of male interactions.

However, the other thing is that a person may also have an experience of persecution in the past to judge their experience on now too. It is another thing that a male person can never have as a 'female' person.

So, how are they different from any other person who has a 'delusion' about themselves?

Sometimes people who have a strong delusion that they are overweight are actually extremely, even dangerously thin.

We don’t affirm their strong delusion.
We try to help them cope with objective reality.

But they do exist. Or are we saying anorexic people don't exist now?

How is this different from any other person who has a strong ‘delusion’ they are something they materially are not?

Should any of those people be treated as if they were what they believe they are when they are not?

Well, that wasn't the question. Somebody with a persecution complex may not actually be persecuted but they still have the complex.

They have a strong delusion that they're female.

Do they though? Or is that just what many of them say.

Well that’s what some of them say.

I don’t think men who identify as women are one homogenous bloc except for the fact that they are all male.

Being delusional doesn’t mean they’re not men. It just means they have a false belief, which can come in any variety.

They have a strong delusion that they're female.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/09/2025 11:22

Let’s start maybe with how you’re defining “trans”.

NotMyNigelFarage · 17/09/2025 11:12

I mean, if transwomen aren't a thing then there's surely no need for GC feminism because standard feminism already addresses the issues men cause.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/09/2025 11:05

Yes. So personally I refer to them as men, not women. That’s I imagine why the pp said there is no such thing. She doesn’t acknowledge that they are in any way different to other men.

But I think they are different. It's not exactly a typical way for men to feel.

Are you new here?

'Transwomen' are MEN.

Yes, men that identify as women. Gay men, straight men, liberal men, conservative men, are also all men. A transwoman is a man that identifies as a woman.

aintgonnarain · 17/09/2025 10:35

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/09/2025 10:30

This young guy doesn’t look like a woman, he doesn’t come across in any way as a woman from the evidence I’ve seen. He didn’t convince his family or neighbours that he was a woman. Because he isn’t a woman, he’s a man.

Exactly.

Helleofabore · 17/09/2025 10:33

flopsyuk · 17/09/2025 10:28

But maybe not seeing himself in that way?
Maybe seeing himself in love with the imaginary 'woman' and therefore different.

He can believe that but it doesn’t affect material reality. It is only one person’s philosophical belief about his identity. One not based on material reality.

There's no such thing as a 'transwoman'.

How so? Are you saying there aren't men that identify as women?

Yes. They aren’t a type of woman though and a man in love with a “trans woman” is either gay or bi.
