this is the man who wrote a crappy novel fawned over by misogynistic idiots where JK Rowling is murdered, and which the Wachowski brothers want to make a film of. He was also suspended temporarily from Bluesky for the second time (the first was for threatening violence against JKR) and lost some comic writing job for glorifying Charlie Kirk’s murder.

Cross post!

I became aware of GFM because I follow the comics business, and was intrigued to hear of a trans writer with violent fantasies who was even worse than Magdalene Visaggio.

Felker-Martin is the charming character who, a couple of years ago, wrote a novel gleefully imagining the murder of JK Rowling. The transvestite fetishist Lilly Wachowski is planning on adapting the book into a TV show.

Felker-Martin was also fired by DC Comics last week for publicly celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk, and then doubling down on it. The only thing I can say is, DC knew who this man was when they hired him, and I'd guess his fashionable identity was a big part of the reason why they hired him.

Felker-Martin has been suspended from Bluesky at least twice for wishing violence on public figures which, given what Bluesky is like, is a bit like being suspended from the BNP for being too racist.

Oh. That chap.

If we’re going to talk about the nature of much of the “trans movement” I’d like to share this example of the rhetoric:

”she” is a man, obviously:

I’m speculating here a little, but Felker-Martin’s MO appears to be building a fantasy version of her enemies in which they are so evil that no action toward them is unwarranted, and then using that depiction of them to justify her preexisting tendencies toward sadism and florid violent and sexual fantasies. This isn’t new — I found one of her violent tweets, captured by a right-wing tabloid site, dating back to 2017. In that one she told a city councilor who was opposed to Worcester, Massachusetts becoming a sanctuary city, “we’re gonna bury your lonely corpse in the overgrown lot behind State Liquors, Michael.”

No, I’m just suggesting that the child who sexually assaulted your daughter did so for reasons other than being trans, and that their access to your daughter would have been no more restricted even if policy staunchly protected single sex spaces. Changing rooms in high schools after all are not typically monitored by staff nor have any real security measures.

I’ll have to stop the discussion there I’m afraid as I have things to do.

I hope your daughter is provided with the right support following what happened to her and I wish you well in finding a way forward for your community.

I’m just suggesting that the child who sexually assaulted your daughter did so for reasons other than being trans

I think the general consensus is that he would have done it because he was male.

Changing rooms in high schools after all are not typically monitored by staff nor have any real security measures.

Yes, that is one of the reasons that women and girls are particularly vulnerable in changing rooms. The safeguarding measure is keeping men out. Of course some men might try to enter anyway, but the difference is whether that is lawful or unlawful. Similarly it would be much easier for burglars to burgle if they had a right to enter anyone's property.

There is a poster called keeptoiletssafe whose posts you might find informative. It is very difficult to maintain security and safety in 'private' public spaces.

I'm interested in the fact that he eventually targeted an outsider.

I would have thought that Charlie Kirk is less of a 'change maker' in Utah society than in other parts of the US, because the conservatism already exists and is so defined by the religion (and has form for being anti Trump e.g. Romney, Evan McMullen).

I don't know, but it's interesting to me that Kirk (who I think was a midwesterner by birth) had moved to Arizona and lots of his staff there were LDS. He was one of those evangelicals who was Mormon friendly - lots of evangelicals don't like them because of their heterodox beliefs, but others are prepared to overlook that because of their values and strong family orientation.

But yeah, there's a subset of young Mormons, often gay or trans, who leave the church and become very anti-Mormon. The default position for them seems to be Reddit atheism, the Progress Pride flag and far left omnicause politics. A cynic might think they've exchanged one conformist religion for another.

Church leadership, who are mostly extremely old and still fighting the battles of when they were young men of 75, are more worried about the edgelord youth who share Brigham Young memes and joke about unfashionable 19th century doctrines.

Helleofabore · 15/09/2025 12:26

"The issues is that this discussion never happens without being hateful towards trans people and largely denying their existence."

I don't believe that there is one post on this thread denying 'trans people' exist. This is very lazy emotional manipulation.

The discussion is whether society must act as if it supports a male person's philosophical belief about themselves that doesn't reflect material reality or not when it comes to safeguarding female people and allowing female people to have their needs met.

What other group of male people get their philosophical belief affirmed by society in having their belief prioritised above the sex based needs of female people? Why is this group so special?

MarieDeGournay · 15/09/2025 12:21

This thread has morphed, hasn't it?!

I think my issue with Waitingforthecold's approach is that it is very anecdotal; I tend to zoom out to a wider approach, based on principles rather than incidents.

Waitingforthecold has not had a negative trans-related experience, in other words, anecdotally, it is a non-issue for her.
Waitingforthecold rightly condemns a sexual assault at a school, but that is just one anecdotal incident.

If you zoom out, there is a wider picture: sadly, for whatever reason, there is a group in society who disproportionately abuses another group in society, in ways that are very specific to the second group and are based on biological differences.
Within that statement there are lots of sub-sections: not all Group 1 are a danger to Group 2, not all Group 2 will have negative experiences with Group 1, some Group 1 are lovely chaps who wouldn't dream of attacking Group 2, and so on.

But in certain limited contexts, the most straightforward way to protect Group 2 from the problematic elements in Group 1 is to keep them separate.

Toilets are the main example of such a limited context - being in a vulnerable position, i.e. partially undressed and often alone in an isolated place, puts Group 2 in increased danger of attack, or at the very least, the very well-founded fear of it.

So toilets are segregated, and it has long been accepted that Group 1 should not enter the toilets, or other similar facilities like changing rooms, designated for Group 2.

That works for the majority of both groups - men use the men's, women use the women's. This is not based on the personality or character or clothing of the men who insist on using the women's toilets, even the lovely lovely transwomen who have been using them for years and wouldn't hurt a fly - it is based on the principle that in the specific context of toilets or changing rooms, Group 1 stays out of the facilities designated for Group 2, full stop.

Waitingforthecold · 15/09/2025 12:11

Excuse if I’m being dense, but does this not support your argument? I was surprised there was pushback on having specific spaces and instead of just avoiding them, people are fighting them

What argument?

It seems unclear from your post what you mean?

Do the majority of female people want female single sex spaces to be only female single sex spaces? Yes.

Are you posing your arguments that female single sex spaces are the 'third' space?

Take the example that a current single sex space for female people is 4 cubicles and the organisation provided one space for the female people who what female single sex spaces. All that will mean is that once the female people realise that the original space they thought was female only is mixed sex, they will all use the 'third space'. Then that 'third space' because over subscribed and likely result in lines so the organisation will then be under pressure to reinstate the original female single sex space where there are 4 cubicles and state that no male people are allowed access over a certain age.

I'm pretty certain from the articles in Deseret News that he was raised LDS but dropped out in his teens. From my knowledge of the area he came from, it's over 90% Mormon.

The culture has become more accepting of gay youth in recent years, but they have to swim against a very strong expectation of (hetero) marrying young and having lots of kids. That will be much more intense in a place like St George than in Sin City aka Salt Lake.

College would be the place for non-conforming youth to find themselves (unless they're at BYU), but Tyler seems to have done one semester and dropped out for undisclosed reasons. Maybe a mental health crisis, but that's just me speculating.

I'm interested in the fact that he eventually targeted an outsider.

Jesus Christ. Your myopic views are staggering.

it’s letting men pretend to be women that’s the problem.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 15/09/2025 12:14

Just bumping this post as pp claimed it was “misinformation”.

Helleofabore · 15/09/2025 12:13

Can we also remember that the amount of sexual abuse in schools is horrifically high.

It is NOT inclusive to allow male students access to female single sex provisions. Because the very presence of any male person in a space that is supposed to be just for female people can cause distress for the female student. Just the presence of someone who is male can cause a female student to start to self exclude from that space which was supposed to be just for female people.

I don’t fundamentally disagree with what you’re saying in principle. But I do disagree with demonising trans people (which is what this thread is essentially doing). I would think you can have your discussions and largely leave trans people out of it. You want ‘people who were born with female chromosome spaces’, is there seriously a lot of pushback on that? I would just assume that woman like me and trans women wouldn’t want to be in those spaces anyway but I can’t imagine many people actually have issue with them existing.

The issues is that this discussion never happens without being hateful towards trans people and largely denying their existence.

Of course not. But there are many other safeguarding practices in place to protect children and vulnerable people some will continue to look the same (DBS checks for example) and some might start to change in order to reflect a changing society. I respect you for fighting policy and not people, I would just hope that you are prepared to be flexible so that everyone is protected as best they can be and no one scapegoated

DBS checks which allow people who say they are Trans to not put their previous names down and so their previous names don't get picked up unless they choose to call the Trans Hotline...those DBS checks?

I am scapegoating the parents, professionals and trans identified people along with their defenders who are ignoring tried and tested safeguarding and allowing males into female spaces, thats who I am scapegoating - because it's is demonstrably their fault.

Do you suggest we do a DBS check and THEN a fourteen year old kid can show his wang to my daughter?

Is that OK?

No males in female spaces. Not one. Not ever.

Are trans people seriously being held accountable to men’s treatment of women? Unfortunately men will find ways to abuse, assault and murder women regardless of what we do about single sex spaces.

my point is that I do not believe protecting single sec spaces will make any difference to the stats on male violence of women and girls. I would argue there’s a much larger, threat in common

Male people are being held accountable for male people's treatment of women.

Single sex spaces are not only for protecting female people from any male person who means them physical harm.

There is no evidence at all that the group of male people with transgender identities commit sex and violent crime at the same rate or less than the general female population in the UK. It would have to be proven that they did for even a logical argument to be had about that specific aspect of safeguarding.

However, safety is but one aspect of the safeguarding needs for female people. There are numerous harms.

Harms include:

-Rape and sexual assault.
-Violence.
-Sexual abuse that is not rape or sexual assault.
-Sexual abuse that also includes solo sexual acts or using the experience in future sexual acts.
-Any other abuse that may include verbal abuse, intimidation in any way etc.
-A male person's presence where female people need privacy and dignity.
-A male person's presence where female people need to feel safe from any male person's presence (over the age of about 8 years old).
-Female people self-excluding knowing that there may be a male person accessing that provision.

Narrowing the discussion to sex and violence offences does not remove these other harms from consideration for single sex spaces.

The point is, why should any female person be subject to higher risk of any of these harms just to allow a group of male people with a philosophical belief about their identity that doesn't reflect material reality access?

You haven't actually suggested any safeguarding practices.

What do you suggest 'I don't like the cut of his jib, so he can't use this changing room!'.

That sounds far more discriminatory than just having simple rules that allow boundaries to be set using objective criteria.

Sorry, what is a RINO? I’ve seen it before but don’t actually know what it stands for. Republican something?
