This is a poster that repeatedly posts about "369 trans people vs 435 061 people who were not trans identified in a study drawing a conclusion of:

”Transgender people are over four times more likely than cisgender people to experience violent victimization, including rape, sexual assault, and aggravated or simple assault”

(Note the statement refers to 'including' and prioritises only the serious crimes and not mentioning any of the more common much lesser crimes).

0.0008 is not a population that you could draw many confident conclusions from. Yet, this poster constantly does.

While then dismissing anything they want on the same basis.

It is such a dishonest tactic.

I read this from Germaine Greer recently, in the chapter ‘Pantomime Dames’ from The Whole Woman (1999), “When he forces his way into the few private spaces women may enjoy and shouts down their objections, and bombards the women who will not accept him with threats and hate mail, he does as rapists have always done.”

I think of it every time one of these MRAs comes here to shout at us about why men should have access to women’s toilets and why are we so fucking stupid that we say no, and I think about what a very wise Australian she is.

Thank you. Speaking of hygiene it’s scientifically proven that women’s toilets are much more hygienic in hospitals than men’s or unisex. Women wash their hands more and don’t dirty the cubicle so much.

Fun fact: in some old drawings of London public toilets I was looking at, they must have known men didn’t bother washing their hands but ladies did. Sinks for men were tucked out the way. The women had more sinks per toilet (because they didn’t have as many toilets) but theirs were much better placed by the way out. And obviously the really old drawings didn’t even have women’s toilets.

This stuff makes me so angry. Women are a bunch of subjective characteristics or whatever 🤯. Funny how when thousands of years of men want to keep women in their place and own them like property, or current men around the world want to keep women as second class citizens and sell them in to the sex trade, no one’s able to identify out of it. No one’s discussing gender identity. It’s all down to basic biology.
But oh no! Here’s some men here and now telling women it doesn’t suit them anymore, and they want all the privileges going and women are all bigoted for knowing the past and remembering the suffering of women.

It also struck me that a difference between the UK and Australia is that I don't recall many toilets or changing rooms being signed 'women'. Mostly 'female'. I have checked the last few trips back just to see if I remembered correctly.

Do you have that perception too? That we mostly called the toilets and showers 'female'. Or have the universal symbol.

It struck me as significant when I started reading here that these men would come into the female toilets because they were signed for 'women'.

I am sure you have pointed out the hypocrisy of posting this while then not posting evidence about male attacks in the male toilets for being transgender. But I cannot be arsed reading all the way back to check.

The hypocrisy of this posting pattern is a strange one.

It is a little like the 'school / pool' accent debates. And the 'togs vs cossie' debates. I have heaps of friends from the different states, but I don't recall any of them particularly using 'bathroom' instead of toilet / loo / ladies / dunny.

I could post how the nice bloke in prison (for wanting to stab his mother and raped her as she died) described in graphic detail ( in a court room in his defense ) of how he wanted to sexuall assault another woman but you would see that as not proof.

Oddy there would have been no need for the court case if the Irish State did not allow male rapists and other violent men into the womens prison system.

I honestly don't know why they bother. We've seen all these ridiculous links before. But the fact remains they've lost the argument.

Men aren't allowed in the ladies.
