Im really shocked at the personal attacks and it doesn't dispell any of my concerns about Filia and my perception that it's elitist and for a certain 'in crowd'.

Blackpool is in my patch, but i see the attacks on Aja, who i understand had nothing to do with the disco nonsense, and i see racism and classism. On that basis, being working class (as is about 90% of Blackpool) and im not sure i would be comfortable in that environment.

Its interesting that Filia have clarified just one person's name in the 'who wasn't thrown out' statement but left others with suspicion hanging over them.

Hi @Shedmistress and @TinselAngel , I see you want me to explain why I think tinsel is a troublemaker, I thought it was self evident and I didn’t need to explain but here goes: The trans widows I know have found her impossible to deal with and so have people in the media who wanted to discuss this issue, consequently the voices of trans widows have not been heard. Tinsel resents it when any other trans widow speaks but she is extremely difficult with any media that want to speak to her. This comment doesn't remotely understand why family members do not speak out.

It has fuck all to do with any individual, and everything to do with social taboos and not wishing to cause even greater harm and distress to family.

There's fuck all preventing me from going to the media and talking about this. The idea that tinsel has some kind of magical power that prevents anyone else from going public is abject bloody nonsense.

Women can cover their hair if they want, I'm not going to stop them.

But selling hijabs at a feminist conference is a bit like selling fur caps at a PETA promotion.

It's Tuesday. They were still packing up the venue 48 hrs ago.

And as @CrocsNotDocs has pointed out, they still found the time to put out a statement defending their friend and making sure everyone knows who it WASN’T while still leaving it vague, but accusatory about who it WAS.

As someone on X said, they really should put the spade down.

This part of the statement is disingenuous at best. FiLiA is quite clearly NOT for all women it is not for KJK and anyone who dares to use a picture of her in some art, it is not for Jean Hatchett, it is not for Aja, it is not for TinselAngel, it is not, going on this weekend's events, for Jewish women.

FiLiA seems to be only for those the core group like and who hold the same views as them.

There is a distinct lack of Sisterhood and Solidarity on display.
