Just wondering what people think about her. I was sent a link by someone, and I do occasionally try to watch the views of pro-trans people for "balance", but I really struggled with this one.

I find her excessively pleased with herself, incoherent, ageist and of course prone to flinging around insults such as "TERF", "transphone" and "bigot" every few minutes.

I'm not quite sure what gives her the confidence to "diss" people like Helen Joyce, Richard Dawkins et al, as if they're idiots and she is some sort of intellectual giant.

She says things like this: "The UK's Supreme Court ruled on "biological sex", but they have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. The "Gender Critical" position on biology is just factually wrong. Finally hundreds of experts in the field come together to call out all this anti-science rubbish"

Other than being trans herself, does she have any justifiable claim to the superior knowledge she purports to have?

I would suggest any organisation who makes claims about allowing legitimate discrimination to protect the needs of female people as ‘genocide’ is not an organisation that has the ability to accurately assess and analyse situations.

You can say their name in any number of attempts of an appeal to authority but it is a false appeal to authority. Just using the term ‘genocide’ in this way shows their lack of proportionate response.

NHSFifeStatementFinalFINALFinalVersionV9FINAL · 26/07/2025 10:01

We're asking BH because BH quoted them about genocide.

If BH doesn't know what they're talking about then don't bring them into the discussion.

I think that usually happens when people say and do things that display a negative attitude toward trans people or transness in general.

I think that you shouldn't let people trick you into reframing the process of treating other human beings with dignity and respect as a zero-sum contest where one group automatically 'wins' if the other 'loses'.

Isn't placing any significance on being of the female sex (in language, law or policy) generally considered transphobic these days? Yet someone wouldn't even have to know trans people exist or have any negative attitudes towards them to want to discuss issues that affect female people.

Waitwhat23 · 26/07/2025 09:59

Ah, I'm feeling rather vindicated now.

(And yes, I have taken a screenshot of this post, just like the others)

Is the genocide in the room with us now?

You should ask the Lemkin Institute. They're experts on the subject.

I'm furious that the country I once loved and respected has been issued a formal genocide warning by an international body dedicated to preventing genocide.

A sizeable portion of the road that led us here is a direct result of the normalisation of extremist ideologies that display a negative attitude toward trans people or transness in general.

ButterflyHatched · 26/07/2025 09:50

Shitstix · 26/07/2025 09:35

Wrong. But I'm not surprised you're coming out with that bollocks.

Women are not giving our rights way to appease men, and the traitorous handmaidens.

MRA tried the smear campaign and you're furious that being called a Terf or tramsphobe doesn't actually bother anyone or mean anything.

Treating women with dignity and respect includes staying out of their spaces if you're male.

Since you believe in treating all people with dignity and respect, you should welcome and comply with the SC ruling which says that all male people should stay out of women-only spaces.

But that doesn’t answer the question. What benefit do women get from allowing males with a trans identity into their spaces? There must be one, or are you just expecting women to give up their rights first “kindness”? In that case, if males with a trans identity surely are the women they claim, they would #bekind and give women the single sex spaces they want and need?

ButterflyHatched · 26/07/2025 09:44

Annoyedone · 26/07/2025 09:21

So if women’s rights aren’t “anti trans” why are women standing up for their sex based rights called transphobes? What benefit do women get from allowing males with a trans identity into their spaces? I can see the benefit for males with a trans identity but no benefit for women. Can you ?

This!!

I've been 'misgendered' when I was younger and guess what, it was fine! No one fucking died, I didnt collapse in a fit of vapours and retire to a fainting couch, I turned round in my chair & just laughed while they said sorry

and then we carried on our day

because we were adults not self obsessed narcissistic cry bullies

Edited

I was misgendered in the supermarket recently. I went on my way, just as I did when I was misgendered when I was younger.

All of a sudden female people being misgendered has become weaponised in the bid to allow some male people to access female single sex spaces. That is why I don’t believe there has been this dramatic increase since the SC judgement.

91% of pеople prosecuted for sеxual offenses are cis men aged 18 plus. The biggest threat to cis women sadly comes from cis men.

Trans people make up roughly 0.5% of the UK population

I'm not entirely sure of the figures for cis women prosecuted for sexual offences, although I believe it's very low.

It would certainly be interesting to see how the remaining 9% is divided up.

yes, the rate that women offend at is very low..

‘Eighty-four of the 123 public and private prisons (68%) in England and Wales said that they had one or more transgender prisoners on 31st March 2024’ (from https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/hmpps-offender-equalities-annual-report-2023-to-2024/hmpps-offender-equalities-report-202324#transgender-prisoners)

and trans women are disproportionately represented among people who have committed sexual crimes.

‘in 2019 81 out of the 163 transgender prisoners in England and Wales had at least one conviction for a sexual offence’ - https://fairplayforwomen.com/transgender-male-criminality-sex-offences/

I am somewhat non- conforming and occasionally have been misgendered.
Guess what? I don’t fucking mind!!
As soon as I speak it’s 100% obvious that I am female.

I think you may discover this to be a replicable phenomenon across a wide range of rhetorical stances.

Engaging in messaging campaigns which involve talking points that particular groups love will reliably get you compared to said groups. Even if those groups are deeply unpleasant and you do not, yourself, like being compared with them.

NHSFifeStatementFinalFINALFinalVersionV9FINAL · 26/07/2025 09:29

I don't think anyone can state who is "cis" or not from the data because that would need to have been specifically asked with clear definitions. The fact that no-one can say what the objective distinction is between a cis or trans person is (nor indeed a man or woman) suggests the data on that is likely to be estimated at best.

Statistics are useful, as you see here! Clearly men named Pete are no threat to women at all and we can allow all the Petes into women’s spaces without any problems.

What exactly is the issue with single-sex (and therefore mixed-gender) toilets? Surely if it was single-gender only, you run the risk of outing people's gender identity and exclude agender people?

No-one knows the answer to this, then.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you show up to a peaceful women's rights demonstration with balaclavas and weapons and commit acts of violence against women, you don't get to cry "Nazis!"

You are the Nazis.

Women's rights aren't anti-trans.

The oppositional framing you are using only gained momentum following the evangelist right's strategic pivot to use trans rights as an LGBT wedge issue following the attainment of equal marriage.

Suddenly the UK (and US) was flooded with pop-up anti-trans campaign groups out of nowhere. I remember it was the same year that the first batch of hateful posters went up in toilets with monstrous clawed 'trans hands' that would make an HP antagonist proud.

Up until that point I'd almost started to feel safe - but the astroturfed hate campaigns have only grown in number and viciousness since then. Posters and stickers demonising trans people (especially trans women) aren't shocking anymore. They're just the shit we have to live with every day.

The Lemkin Institute has issued a warning about the UK's steady descent toward anti-trans genocide. 60 thousand people are going to London today to protest against this country's systematic destruction of the rights of one of the most vulnerable groups in society. Many of them will be cis women who are able to understand that women's rights are deeply intertwined with trans rights and that demonising a small minority group who are fighting the same fight will not, in fact, free us from patriarchal oppression.

So if women’s rights aren’t “anti trans” why are women standing up for their sex based rights called transphobes? What benefit do women get from allowing males with a trans identity into their spaces? I can see the benefit for males with a trans identity but no benefit for women. Can you ?

Helleofabore · 26/07/2025 09:19

But yay!! Women's rights are not 'anti-trans'! We have agreement.

Female single sex provisions allow legitimate exceptions of all male people.

It is not based on whether someone has a philosophical belief about their own sex or not, it is based on whether a person is male or female. I believe that there is a common law precedent that describes male or female based on body formation around a reproductive role.

Female single sex provisions generally include all female people regardless of those female people's belief about their gender identity.

Helleofabore · 26/07/2025 09:16

Are we the warm up act for the protest then?

ButterflyHatched · 26/07/2025 09:14

Shitstix · 26/07/2025 01:33

Why don't you take a minute to think about why women's rights are considered anti-trans.

Is it because TRA is actually MRA and you don't care that you're trying to erode our rights.

How about you ask the men pretending to be us to show some respect. They're just men who are bored or unhappy wth their male self. They are NOT women.

Women's rights aren't anti-trans.

Agent Montgomerie is doing deep work for Operation Let them Speak.

He has grown ever more unhinged and absurd. Long may he shout over other Trans types who seem more reasonable.

Look at the reaction of the OP.

Lets give one of these TAs a chance - oh wait he is a massive twat with no solid arguments.

Lets post about it on Mumsnet.

Result everyone gets angrier and more dedicated to tearing this horror down. Agent Montgomerie has done it again.

Without guys like him and Willoughby and others it would have take far longer to undermine this thing.

What becomes clear in these discussions is simply how narcissistic and misogynistic those demanding that female people allow male people access to their words and to their single sex provision really are.

This current NHS Fife case has become like a massive beacon shining on the misogyny. All those well educated people who condemned a nurse, a nurse for fucks sake, for saying this male person is intimidating and making me very distressed by being in a female single sex space. And there was no immediate action of those people checking the facts from the nurse's point of view, and I don't believe any of those doctors even bothered to check that the nurse was ok.

It is like a male person who supports other male people to abuse female people because that male person doesn't like the way that female person won't use female language for a male person who demands it. It is actually that simple.

The more these male people show their disrespect and their hatred towards female people as a collective, it really is Operation: Let them speak!

They speak, and feminists simply continue to point out the inherent misogyny and the direct and upfront misogyny of those male people. The more those male people attack female people for not acquiescing and not complying to their demands, the less support they have within society.
