How to be a proper woman…….according to IW’

Because IW’s idea of being a woman is exactly the same set of stereotypes that many of us actual women have been avoiding for decades?

Perhaps we should suggest to JKR that she turns her hand to directing/producing and starts with Love Island (or she could write more believable storylines for them). Sure IW would quickly claim it wasn't a typical woman thing to watch it then.

4. going out for coffee in the morning

I know several girls/women that like all the above, they are all under 18.

Dear Indie when your vanity Google brings you to this thread at 3am one day please listen to the women here who say you need help. It's not typical to think you can magically become the opposite sex. Womanhood isn't about makeup or coffee with 'gal pals' it's about being born female and human and then not dying before adulthood.

Lots of women like fashion, lots don't but the same applies to men, name a dozen designers without listing a male. Some wear makeup other don't. Some like Love Island but there really is no accounting for taste. I am no more a woman on the occasions when I'm wearing a dress and heels and makeup and dancing round my handbag with female friends then when I'm in the stands at my beloved football club in jeans and footie shirt before a pint in the pub with the lads for a spot of post match analysis. The fact that I have been to more stadia and more matches than most of the lads doesn't make me a man it makes me a woman who loves football.

My kids had a book that explains it all when they were pre teens I'm sure you could pick up something similar on line and have a quick look at the bits that explains male and female bodies.

Going to the pub and drinking pints of brown ale

Sitting with your legs wider than any other man telling fart jokes

Wearing your pants more than once before washing them.

Carrying a hood

That's four. Fairly comprehensive for anyone needing a checklist of activities to do if they think they might be a man.

Maybe decades ago, many women were into superficiality because they were seen as the weaker sex expected to like safe ‘feminine’ non political pursuits. However, with the advent of the women’s suffrage movement and the many fabulous women in education, science, sports and the arts who have been busy breaking barriers for us and redefining what a woman is and can be - I find it really offensive when trans women or non biological women whatever, roll out a list of ‘what it means to be a woman’ because it’s generally sexist and frivolous and I don’t care if it’s meant as a joke. I see it almost as a category of men still insidiously still subjugating women and belittling, reducing them to dresses and frippery. I think I’m especially angry as I’m a child of the 70s and had to really fight against my conservative immigrant parents who thought it was scandalous I wanted to leave my tiny terrace and go study in London. They kept telling me I’d fail, get raped etc and I almost had a mental break down with all the stress they put on me. When I graduated I then had to struggle as a brown female to get a good job. Today, I’m in a senior position with a detached home, minimal mortgage in a desirable part of my neck of the woods. And guess what, I did it all alone without my family and without a man. And through it all, I was a chubby bespectacled, baggy clothed wearing female introvert who hates coffee! That’s what a woman is according to me a biological woman!

Are you sure you didn’t father the child? It’s just that that’s what India did, and he knows how to woman. He woman’s the best of all womans. So to be a proper woman, you need to have fathered a child see? Like India.
