My controversial opinion is that most of the Mums who obsess here over penises, uteruses and chromosomes, would pick more important and interesting topics if their own child was trans.

Seens to me that throughout history it's usually men that obsess over penises.
Here's a nice manly bit of obsessing for you from the fifteenth century - 'The Perfumed Garden'

Personally, I don't care about size as long as the penis is kept out of spaces meant for women.

I mean, it's not actually possible to be trans (it's a made-up concept) so there's no chance of my child being trans OP. No more than there's a chance of them being a cat. Or a fish.

In the event that my child starts to think they're trans, they'll be very swiftly told to catch themselves on (kindly and with long gentle chats, at least initially). HTH!

I grew up in the 80's; had my bum fondled on a staircase aged 7; was flashed at, cat called and had 'whore' shouted at me as a frightened teen...by men. I was terrified walking home from the bus stop - I used to take my shoes off and run. I once had a lesbian try to pick me up on the tube (so women can be invasive abusive dicks too but that's another point). You're all directing your vitriol at trans women when since the beginning of time it is men hurting women, not trans women hurting women.

Yeah I know you'll all scream "but trans women are MEN" but even if that's the case, why centre your fury around them and not, er, actual man-identifying MEN. Oh and by the way that rapist who pretended to be trans and raped women in a prison: not trans. A man. A fucking deceitful, violent, perverted sex offending man in a dress. Get it right.

You talk so fondly about your husbands' penises yet if a trans woman has one, it's the enemy. At heart, this is all rage and hatred against people who are not "normal" and don't look or identify how you'd prefer them to look and identify. Did you know that in 19th century South Africa black people were termed "non human?". Substitute "trans" for "black" and "not women" for "not human" and then see how your hatred is working for you.

Oh exactly. Penises tend to be quite ugly. If they belong to someone you love then they are rather nice.

It's men who are obsessed by them IME. In a manner far outweighing their objective interest tbh.

At 62 I have known many many women who have been attacked, physically and sexually, myself included. Not ONE has ever been attacked by a trans woman.

If a man wants to go in a toilet and attack a woman, he will do it.

I believe in protecting women's rights and in trying to safeguard women and girls.

I have no issue with any transwomen or transmen as long as they acknowledge that they haven't actually changed sex and are just expressing their gender identity. Many are perfectly intelligent and realise this but unfortunately the TRAs have overshadowed them.

If my child was saying they were trans I would be very concerned indeed. Its a cult. Id be 100% focusing on how to help them shift their mindset, be happy in the skin they are in. No child, no adult is born in the wrong body.
If that makes me "obsessed with penises" so be it I guess.
