Didnt they just decide the legal definition of a woman. I'm not scared of transwomen.

They did. The people waving the flags are protesting what has been clarified in law.

I mean, really. Basic stuff here. Do you have the slightest clue what you're supporting?

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 14:13

Look if your that concerned about women in prisons then you should concentrate your efforts on making sure men cant be employed in female prisons. I'm sure there are far more issues with that than the odd transwoman.

People are concerned about women's need for single sex spaces in ...

Prisons, domestic violence shelters, rape crisis counselling, changing rooms, sports.

They are also concerned about sick and disabled women's need for single sex intimate care, should they desire it. Orthodox religious women's need for single sex accommodation in public life, like toilets and sports classes.

You don't seem to care about these things. Why?

You’re not scared of men? Even though they commit the vast majority of violent snd sexual crime? How nice your very privileged bubble must be

At the end of the day, the trans 'rights' movement is campaigning for these men to be seen as women in the eyes of the law. So people need to think through the consequences of what they're supporting.

”the odd one will be segregated” - do you mean the trans prisoners? How are we deciding which odd ones will be segregated?

“get all the details sorted out” - what sort of details are going to get sorted out in some other magic way so that men who identify as women can still get to use other women prisoners as validators of gender identity, but no female prisoner is frightened/ distressed/ hurt/ traumatised.

what “new procedures”? the law around single sex prisons hasn’t changed, why are new procedures needed to accommodate the preferences of men who think they are women (or for whom this is convenient smokescreen while in prison).

”new issues”? What’s new? Reality hasn’t changed, male and female haven’t changed, humans still can’t change sex, and it is still barbaric to force a woman to share a cell with a male person.

This is just a load of wafty hand-waving away of hard cases because there is no magic answer that gives these men exactly what they want without female prisoners paying the price.

There is a conflict of rights that can’t be dismissed with a “I expect someone will sort out the details” hand wave.

Well that depends if you view trans people in that way. Maybe they are mixed up people who feel they were born the wrong sex. If they fly a flag in support of trans people doesnt necessarily mean you agree with male rapists in female prisons.

Well hopefully the odd one will be segregated until they get all the details sorted out. Takes time to implement new procedures when faced with new issues. Same with internet security for example we are now seeing the issues and trying to figure out what to do.

Well, that's how transactivism goes. Start off by disrespecting the fact that a woman is an adult female, and by logical progression you end up with males in women's prisons. The two are closely connected.

The female sex? We do fine thanks, not every woman sees herself as a victim or in danger. Your making a mountain out of a mole hill. You can never stop crime.

So your answer to the fact that you'll never stop crime against women is to ... make it easier for men to commit crimes against women.

I mean, seriously?

You see how appalling that looks, right?

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 13:33

FeistyCat · 29/06/2025 13:03

ONE, is ONE TOO MANY. How many 'tiny section' would be enough for you to recognise that the female sex are deserving of safety, privacy and dignity? Give us a number.

Some women are in prison for merely not pay tv licences. Many women in prison have been victims of abuse in some way.

Are you seriously saying these women DESERVE to be violated by a male?

Is that what you are seriously suggesting? Because that makes you subhuman if that is truly how cruel and inhuman your thought process is. No woman in prison deserves to be violated by a male just because she is in prison.

No women are in prison for TV licences.
MOJ data set proves it.

Of course not 🙄 where am I saying I think a woman should be violated whilst in prison??

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 13:30

nutmeg7 · 29/06/2025 12:27

Nevertheless, a transwomen with or without “bits” is still stronger and frequently larger than a female woman. It is still inhumane to lock a female person up with a male person, especially in the same cell.
What about the rights of the female prisoner? She does not exist just to validate the gender identity of the male transwomen which is the only reason to house him in a female prison. If he is vulnerable, protect him in a vulnerable prisoner wing in the men’s estate.

Lesbians are female, so belong in female prisons.

Transwomen are male, so DON'T belong in male prisons.

That should be simple enough for you to understand.

Female on female violence is equal. Male on female violence is not equal.

That should be *don't belong in female prisons

Sometimes, people like to pretend that there is no difference in strength between the sexes.

Sometimes, people put the feelings of males people before the safety of female people.

Sometimes, people just don't care about what happend to female prisoners.

The last one is an odd one, isn't it?
We're told that a female prison officer with trauma should just get a grip because it's part of the job.
We're told that if women in prison are frightened (or worse) by having trans identifying males housed with them, they should just suck it up, because if they don't like it, they shouldn't have committed a crime in the first place.
We're told that a male prisoner who identifies as a woman and doesn't want to be in a men's prison should just suck it up, because if they don't like it ... oh wait, no, we aren't told that, are we? We're told that this special kind of man might be vulnerable and so must be put with the women whether the women like it or not.
Everybody knows who the men are. They're the ones who are treated as though they matter.

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 11:45

That doesnt make me homophobic though which is what you were throwing at me. You say dont house transwomen with women as that is their most likely target, so on that logic I said dont house lesbians with women as that is their most likely target. You are also acknowledging in this post I'm tagging that not all lesbians would attack but not acknowledging the same for transwomen.

It doesnt make me homophobic if it doesnt make you transphobic. And I obviously didnt hint my sarcasm loud enough in my earlier post re needing lesbian prisons.

Lesbians are female, so belong in female prisons.

Transwomen are male, so DON'T belong in male prisons.

But it's a tiny section of the male population. And most men would not identify with trans men or understand them. Honestly it's just crazy.

It's ok to support trans people but whatever you do, dont fly a supportive flag at a music festival !!! Keep your support in the closet!

Sorry I meant people who stay their birth sex must surely massively outweigh the number of people who change their sex

No one changes sex, @Eagle2025 . It's not even physically possible to alter your DNA and chromosomes. And the vast overwhelming majority don't even bother to have any surgery.

Wow. Have you seen all the Pride and Trans flags flying in the audiences at Glastonbury?
FeistyCat · 29/06/2025 12:50

Eagle2025 · 28/06/2025 18:37

Well im not sure I care if people who have committed crimes and are in prison are upset about a trans person inside. Sports seem to be doing a good job overall with their rules on trans. Changing rooms well the local swimming pool here has been one changing area for all for many years as it happens.

Wow the homophoia is dazzling on this one.

My fault for not realising this was in 'women's rights' when I clicked on it in trending.

Yeah, damn those womens rights, hey @kittensinthekitchen . Shouldn't women realise they must know their place and shut up?

And please point out any homophobia in this thread? I think you will find most take issue with the trans flags. Nothing to do with homosexuals or the traditional gay pride flag.

FeistyCat · 29/06/2025 12:46

Eagle2025 · 28/06/2025 18:12

Yes there are certainly a lot more females and males in the world than trans so I cant imagine trans will have a big impact on most people's lives.

Coming in late to the thread with a lot of pages to read but do you think trans are a third sex, or something? Trans people are still male or female.

nutmeg7 · 29/06/2025 12:27

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 11:50

Of course if you just lump everyone together that would be insane. A transwoman in a female prison with their bits cut off is very much in the minority. Lots of hard women in prison and if the transwoman isn't segregated I could actually see him being the one in danger. Especially since any transwoman with violent or sexual offences against women or children wouldnt be put with women. So they will be men convicted of lesser charges.

Nevertheless, a transwomen with or without “bits” is still stronger and frequently larger than a female woman. It is still inhumane to lock a female person up with a male person, especially in the same cell.
