I do like Martine Croxall. She doesn't have the same 'assimilated glazed-over automaton' look that some of the newsreaders have.
She seems to actually think about the sense of what she's saying, rather than just letting it go from her eyes to her mouth and completely bypassing her brain.
Not to derail, but we've recently been re-watching a brilliant comedy series centring around computers that was written by a certain Irish comedy genius.
Some of the actors from 'that' episode that has since been shadow-banned - the main protagonist in the scene especially - have distanced themselves from it and claimed that they had nothing to do with the script or any views held by the writer.
They merrily went ahead in reading and learning the script and then acting it for the camera... but they didn't realise what they were doing or condone it, of course...
