Why is this subforum so intent on removing voices that dont' agree?

It's not enough for them to stay on Reddit where gender critical voices are banned.

They feel the need to come over here, insult gender critical feminists because their actual arguments don't hold water, and then cry when their insulting posts are removed.

If you email Mumsnet they will tell you why your posts have been removed.

Generally, I find the other areas of MN absolutely fine. It's only really this sub-forum that seems to bring out the nasty behaviour in some people.

It's true that there are guidelines for proper behaviour, which is absolutely right on any forum, but there is a second, more pernicious, trend on this particular sub-forum where any voice that goes against the cult is jumped on by the crowd, the poster subjected to ad hominem attacks, and - very often - the post removed.

You could attempt to argue that any dissenting voice is, by its nature of being against the majority, 'trolling' and consequently breaches the guidelines, but I'm not convinced that's a very convincing argument. Let's be honest, anyone who doesn't worship JKR or doesn't think that trans-women are simply 'men in dresses' are, in the views of many on this forum, fair game to be attacked.

Where it becomes an even bigger problem is when the worst offenders attempt to obfuscate their behaviour by claiming it is feminism. It isn't.

All you can do, short of simply staying away from this sub-forum, is to maintain your stance with grace and humility.

I do have a beard and moustache. But the tits down to my belly button negate those a bit.

Posters don't.
Mumsnet itself does.
If what you post breaks talk guidelines.

I do enjoy it when someone with the evidence before them, tries the magical thinking approach of just announcing they cannot see it, so it does not exist, and the problem is with those insisting maliciously that it does for nefarious reasons.

Personal realities. This is all about personal realities, and the attempts to blame, shame, coerce, control, persuade, argue etc etc for people to invest in another person's personal reality against their own perceptions.

We don't live in anyone's subjective personal reality, we have one shared, objective one.

Given that that poster put their self righteous scold on the second page after many posts from women describing heartbreaking stories meant that your post was entirely correct. Obviously hit a nerve though.

I don't think this forum does remove posts that simply don't agree with the general consensus. I've reported posts that aligned with the general consensus but went beyond reasonable concerns and were spiteful for the sake of it and they've been removed. I've also seen plenty of respectful, well-considered dissenting voices remain.

I broke my rule to comment on this thread, but I don't post on FWR as a rule, primarily because I disagree with the general consensus regarding trans people. It's a waste of everyone's time and causes unnecessary aggro - perhaps why your posts are getting deleted?

And if it is indeed 'anti trans' in someone's opinion, then they need to face that their beliefs are anti women's rights, anti women's equalities, and that coming on to a women's rights forum and trying to require that women indulge this without argument is possibly a little bit.... silly.

The fact that this thread is standing as well as evidence on multiple threads indicates that no one posting within the guidelines is banned or deleted whatever their views. I wonder how a woman with sex realist views would be treated on a TQ forum? Would it be with attentive interest, respect and acceptance of anything said so long as it was within the same posting guidelines as MN holds?

You might have a different sensitivity point to what you consider bullying behaviour compared to what MNHQ consider reasonable, but anything you see you should report and let them decide. But if the post isn’t deleted, then maybe it is your personal definiton of bullying that is the issue rather than the standards that MNHQ use.

And I am sure you already know this but, the women discussing their needs for their single sex provisions and children’s needs to be prioritised over gender identity is not us being ‘against trans rights’. In fact, many people on this board will confirm to you that they support transgender people having the same rights as every other person. It is the additional privileges that have been demanded and sometimes granted that then conflict with the provisions for female people and children that is main focus.

Yep that’s the one. I was the person who said they should be fucking ashamed but someone must have reported it as it got deleted.

Really? We were told most confidently yesterday that saying there had been some cross posting from reddit was just a conspiracy theory and we were all just conspiracy theorists.
