House of Commons apologises after RMW permitted to use ladies' loos

RMW claims he had never been challenged on his use of women's loos before - well, now he has, and the HoC has acknowledged it was wrong to allow him into those facilities.

Yep. The gig is well and truly up.

This is how women have been forced to feel for the past decade-and-a-half. The response to us was simply 'cede over your rights, budge up and shut up'. Oh, and 'reframe your trauma'.

So it wasn't his fault because he was sent there, twice.

It never is, is it.

Yes, he makes it sound like he was totally passive in this and ‘what’s he supposed to do’ if a member of staff was utterly ‘convinced’ he is really a woman and needed to be directed to the ladies (twice).

Of course he had to point out that he was validated, twice, by whoever pointed him towards the women's toilets.

Possibly leaving out that he probably just asked where the women's toilets were.

I wonder if the direction to the loos was written, before he attended, or in person on the day? I suspect he made sure he was first in the womens loos to make a point, either way.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if cheers had gone up throughout the country - from women who had effectively been coerced into sharing a loo with RMW and felt unable to say anything.

How did we get to this situation in the first place where our rights as females have been eroded? It's the stuff of futuristic fiction. Law states what should happen and still people interpreting it as they wish.

Potentially problems following extreme surgery. Wouldn’t be unusual. Presumably perfectly valid therefore to use the disabled toilet on the grounds of urgency, assuming urgency is the problem.
