Outspoken TRA 'Legaltweetz' suddenly turns against transactivitism

I probably shouldn't have waded in with my comments when I didn't know anything about legaltweetz before all this. I did read through a lot of tweets and formed an opinion but I accept that things might not be quite as they seem.

I saw a post from one of the women who accused Frankie of abusing her, originally it was consensual but then it turned into something that was very much not. And there are those screenshots. Of course I don't know how much truth there is in it or if it's been reported to police. I was just going back through many posts and seeing what seemed to be happening. legaltweetz seemed to be fully onboard with being trans, fighting for trans rights or whatever her activism was about until very very recently. Then it seemed like a switch was flipped when all this happened. The whole thing is nasty and very unpleasant and she has definitely suffered some abusive tactics from others which is horrible.
Maybe you're right and it's some of it has been made up, I wouldn't know as I'd never heard of her before but it's what's been playing out on X. Many people saying they don't care about her detransitioning but going on about this rape stuff. I don't know why she keeps going on X, it would be much better for her mental health to stay well away and concentrate on her health and getting started with her detransition if that is what she wants to do.

Is this a fair characterization and accurate timeline? Legaltweetz had been trending toward truscum for several months and taking heat for it from the trans community on Twitter. There's no confirmation where it took place or the greater context. The person in question (Frankie) was a transman, i.e. female. Has it been verified she's a rapist? That usually requires a conviction, certainly a serious allegation. There's no suggestions that alleged incident was anything more than a bit of consensual sex play. Was a 'TERF' actually doxed? Was the post pornographic or indecent? Was it even a legitimate tinder, 'hookup with a TERF', or was this just joking about being 'TERF in the streets trans in the sheets'? Many people here are familiar with TRA invective. It's inconceivable to me that the screen-shotted post in any way offended their delicate sensibilities or was the 'cause' of anything.

This has all the apparent ingredients of TRA super-heated rhetoric and attempted cancelling that we're all too familiar with, e.g. Helen Joyce has been caught reading child pornography or that Rowling is a known anti-semite. These sort of allegations make me very uncomfortable without considerably more substance than what I've seen posted here or elsewhere on the Internet.

Correct not all trans identifying people are TRAs. That is why I was specifically referencing TRAs.

That's why I don't really feel this is a genuine detransition, it just all extreme reactions to being called out on things. She needs to go and sort her head out

She misgendered the person calling her out about being a rape apologist. It's the misgendering that really kicked things off.

They did believe me, if you go and read back through all the posts you'll see that that is what people are mad about, they couldn't care less about her detransitioning. Not just about the terf, although that was pretty disgusting but there were other rape claims and revenge porn shared obviously without the person's consent. Believe it or not not all trans people are raving activists. They obviously felt this sort of thing paints them all in bad light which isn't fair or helpful

TRAs don’t tend to object to violent threats against TERFs. They tend to revel in sadistic violent imagery. So I can’t see many X using TRAs objecting.

Quite a few people on X. That's what all the palaver was about originally, then she out of the blue said she was detransitioning and cutting herself off from the trans people. Because they'd been calling her out for disgusting behaviour, the screen shots were all there for proof. So she went into a mega huff and turned her back on it all even though before this happened she was all for the trans community. People felt really let down by her behaviour as they'd respected her before. She's basically just throwing a massive tantrum

Who called her out for being a rape apologist?

The reason she's getting abused is because she was laughing with a guy in a chatroom who was talking about sexually abusing a terf, being a rapist and showing revenge porn. She got caught out and called a rape apologist. It's not about her detransitioning. The minute there was evidence shown of what she did she suddenly announced she was detransitioning out of nowhere. Basically she's mad about being caught doing something disgusting and being called out on it. No one is bothered about her detransitioning, it's the lies she's been telling, not apologising and being generally being a bit aggressive. But she refuses to see why people are upset with her, only a few weeks ago she was fully onboard with trans issues and then the next minute she's all friendly with the likes of JKJ .It's just really weird. I didn't even know who this person was but reading back through her posts it all becomes clear. I think she's a bit unhinged to be honest, she doesn't sound too well even before all this.

I have no idea if she is being sincere or not. The switch feels so sudden, but she is receiving some appalling abuse. Some TRAs are total sadists.

He should have taken a moment to apologise to all the women whose boundaries he violated but perhaps he didn't or, as it's only a short, perhaps he ran out of time. Anyway, I wish him well.
