I would like to start a movement whereby every time you hear (or read) the insidious and disingenuous phrase, "Trans women exist," the automatic response should be, "Woman exist."

Anyone like to join up?

When you supposed existence is entirely predicated on an ideological construct then it will inevitably be fragile and defensive.

Trojan horses are horses was my favourite for a while as it had the added nuance of something that gained entry under false pretenses.

Dying of laughter at some of these. DD (3) has just seen the pantomime horse and asked what it was, and I told her it was a pretend horse but really a couple of people playing dress up.

And the logical extension of grapefruits not being grapes, for my fellow tech women, javascript is not java.

If someone says to me ‘Trans women exist’ I will reply, ‘‘I believe men identifying as women exist’’. I will call them MIAWs.

People with trans identities indeed do exist.........but their 'existence' as a woman' ( if male) depends entirely on other people believing or affirming that.

There is no male in existence who is really a woman.

I usually respond "yes, but so do female people. Two different groups, both exist, both have diiferent needs. We need to recognise both of them not just try to force trans women into things that were set up for female people whether they are a good fit or not"

Love this.

But essentially someone else's existential crisis is a 'them' problem and not a 'me' problem. Unless they intend to pay me by the hour at standard therapist rates.

My usual response to 'Transwomen exist' is 'so do flat-earthers' but it's a bit of an unfair dig at flat-earthersGrin
I think it's not a bad response because it doesn't say that people who believe that men can become women, or that the Earth is flat, do not exist as people, of course they do; it's the reality of what they believe in that doesn't exist.
