A related issue is mixed sex "supported accommodation" for serious mental illness which can include housing sometimes dangerous men (however they identify) with vulnerable, mentally unwell women.

I'm aware of this because the house next door is one of these so called "care homes". I've had to call the police on a few occasions. This is London again...

There was a horrific case in Germany where a transwoman was placed in a female psychiatric ward and murdered a woman, despite already having murdered his dog and stated his intention to kill a person.

It is telling that the biggest concern seems to be that the patients might out themselves, not the relative trivia of potentially raping another patient.

Horrifying. The only thing I can say that's reassuring is that Broadmoor has no female patients. Don't know about Ashworth, Rampton or Carstairs, which are the other high security psychiatric hospitals in the UK.

The women are all in Rampton I believe

Or announce that laws are now just something you follow if you agree and feel like it. Because I can think of a few I can't really be buggered with.

Hopefully JK Rowling's sue the bastards fund will focus some minds. If I were in charge of any of these trusts I would be rewriting those policies with a deadline of end of today with emergency board approval tomorrow,
