She’s right about misogny and all the issues women face from men. But I think someone should do the sisterly thing and tell her the revelation about what transwomen actually are.

Last time I saw Kate Nash she was charging about in a leotard on that GLOW series about wrestling.

The acting parts seem to have dried up along with the ability to write lyrics that scan.

The Guardian are scraping the bottom of the barrel a bit, aren't they? Kate Nash hasn't been relevant for years. I had Foundations on my mp3 player back when it came out, and even I can't name another song of hers. It took me a minute to remember her one hit.

Kate's obviously desperate for a headline, so I'll stop rewarding her with attention. But I will say, this might be a good sign. If The Guardian couldn't get anyone else to bash gender critical women in exchange for promotion, the landscape must be changing. Younger artists might finally be waking up to the fact that the trans movement is a wagon full of toxic waste, metaphorically speaking, and they might not want to jump on it.

I haven't. But genuinely if you saw my friend you would never suspect she was born male. She's had all the surgery and has been living as female since she was 13. I don't see her as a threat to anyone.

This is the thing, there are genuine trans people (obviously you can't change your sex but I do believe there are some people born in the wrong body). But there are far too many now who are just predators and wanting to be exhibisionist/sex pests/intrude on women's spaces. I just don't think it's as clear cut as a lot of people on here do. Yes my friend was born male but believe me, you would not be intimidated by her in women's spaces. She's actually very shy and quiet and certainly wouldn't do anything to make people uncomfortable. The trans stuff is just getting boring now. I have one trans woman friend who you would never ever think was born a bloke and is just quietly living her life as a woman - no issues there. Then people like my neighbour who assumes anyone who's lesbian or bi owes him sex (and yes he's very clearly a him despite the dress) and is a sexual predator. Two very different categories of people and I don't think you can group them together. I will never see my neighbour as a woman. My friend I do and would have no problem sharing a bathroom etc with her (not sports etc but she doesn't intrude on women's stuff like that)
