So basically saying 9% of all rapes are committed by 0.5% of the population. So trans women are 20x more likely to commit rape?

@PermanentTemporary I'm in a band and consider myself gender critical and a feminist. I certainly don't rate Billy Bragg as a person or a performer nor do I rate him as a socialist - the 60 + man who likes to have his photo taken with young female lap dancers . How progressive ! As for Kate Nash - she never bothers about working class women in prison , the majority who have been physically, emotionally or sexually abused who would have to share facillities with men who male sex offenders if Trans women were allowed self ID which she wants ? She really hasn't thought it through has she or she doesn't give a tosh does she as long as Kate gets a gig at Glasto with bloody stupid Billy Bragg.

I haven't. But genuinely if you saw my friend you would never suspect she was born male. She's had all the surgery and has been living as female since she was 13. I don't see her as a threat to anyone.

This is the thing, there are genuine trans people (obviously you can't change your sex but I do believe there are some people born in the wrong body). But there are far too many now who are just predators and wanting to be exhibisionist/sex pests/intrude on women's spaces. I just don't think it's as clear cut as a lot of people on here do. Yes my friend was born male but believe me, you would not be intimidated by her in women's spaces. She's actually very shy and quiet and certainly wouldn't do anything to make people uncomfortable. Unlike my neighbour...

It's a fairly major achievement to be 'only' headlining a small stage at one of the most famous festivals in the world. Or to be rated as a performer by Billy Bragg.

I dont think she's wrong that plenty of voices on the GC side aren't radical or feminist. Nor would they claim to be.
