That has extra wrongness.

Imagine going back in time to the 1980s and telling people that this amazing thing called The Internet was going to be invented in the future.

The flags offend me - was it "hate" to put them up? Can I have the person/ people who put them up investigated for a hate crime? If I say I'm lesbian and see them as homophobic will that make a difference?

It may be theft if the flags are not returned, not sure where the "hate" crime comes in.

I have seen posts dedicated to collating crimes that individual trans people have committed. Can you imagine if the same was done for lesbians?

The statement TWAW or TMAM doesn’t allow for any complexity or nuance at all, or facts either. And “fuck the terfs” is most definitely into the category haranguing imo.

I find it absolutely fascinating how these illiberal and authoritarian thinkers believe they are the liberal left. Women and homosexuals are no longer allowed to express opinion/choose their own identity without threats and hatred and thats not haranguing? Weird.

In our house DH just can’t get over that Shon Fae quote “enjoy your erasure” because those 3 words consciously and succinctly express the nastiness of this whole movement.

There are very few people that wish that you don't exist.

Its not that people are using your identity to beat you with, its that you are taking other peoples "identities" and forcing them to change to meet your ideology.

Really, the TRAs have been haranguing other people for their sex and trying to force people into labels of the TRAs making.

The glad being torn down are unfortunate. If the police are saying it is a hate crime, perhaps there is an aspect to the case that is not being reported on.

It felt as though LGB acceptance was on the ascendant about 10 years ago. I remember our area held a pride march and there was widespread support from all ages, with many businesses, even churches, hanging out the rainbow flag. Then came sexual fetishes on public display, plus the ‘no debate’ trans rights activists to ruin it for everyone else.

There is a video from a few years ago where police horses were spooked and wouldn't cross a pride flag on the road, in Sheffield.

What a good use of taxpayers' money and police time.

@WithSilverBells Personally, I’d like to see Pride ‘rested’ for a couple of years, a bit like The X Factor 😁
Let the grown ups take charge and turn it back into what it used to be.
