It was really like a replay of the highlights of the arguments we have had on FWR though.

And we know that there were parents there at that protest who post on MN, so it is unsurprising that you see those arguments being said in the wild so to speak.

But WHY have they never had to explain it before? If someone wants me to do or change something I expect them to convince me of why I should.

When I see them speak I am always baffled about how these people have been taken seriously enough to gain so much traction. They are mostly clearly nuts and their arguments almost entirely bullshit.

Fascinating to see how weak all the TRA arguments are. Like a PP said, it's like they've never had to explain it before.

The NHS worker was terrifying.

I actually felt a bit anxious watching the silent TRAs following him around. So much for be bloody kind. The police seemed to deal with it quite well.

The section on trans women in sport tho'. We knew the delusion was strong but that was another level - Serena Williams would beat Rafa Nadal for instance. Not understanding why a trans woman would have an advantage in fencing. And on and on......

Another thing is it puts paid to the ‘why are you so worried about such a tiny number of people?’ line - there’s just so many of them, and that’s just one demo.

I hope to God that the number of 9 year olds pregnant girls is tiny but the way this loon goes on you’d think maternity wards are full of 9 year olds. Scary shit. I’ve not watched it all. It’s utter lunacy on a societal level. I liked how not having breasts didn’t make you less of a woman should you need a mastectomy yet men think having breasts makes them a woman. You couldn’t make this shit up.
0.5-1% of people are trans according to some of those interviewed. Yet look at the outrage and demands.
No woman is going to challenge scary pink bra big fake boobs man if she finds him in the loo. I wouldn’t. The anger just radiates off him and I’d keep my head down and get out of there asap.

How can people be this stupid?

When society tells a bunch of selfish men they can have and do what they like, they go ahead.

I watched it through, the only person who came across as sensible to me was the chap 25 minutes in who talked about going through therapy.

The non-binary young woman is a good example of how gender is used as a catch-all for "not fitting in". She does not describe not feeling neither male nor female, even though when Wesley asks, she agrees that it's what it means to be non-binary. Instead, she's never fitted in, so she must be non-binary! Being unconventional becomes absorbed under the trans umbrella - even though it has nothing to do with gender!

Also: if I heard right, she says she's autistic. Well, that's exactly the process Dr Az Hakeem describes as to why so many autistic kids end up identifying as trans: because of their tendency to think in black-and-white, they conclude that if they don't fit in with the gender stereotypes of their sex, they must necessarily be the other sex. The idea that they can be their own sex but gender-non-conforming doesn't occur to them - and obviously, nobody involved in affirming them will tell them either.

This is all so wrong!

I've only been able to face about 10 minutes so far, but it seems very clear that TRAs simply aren't used to having to argue their case. For all these years they have sailed along on the crest of Stonewall law and 'most oppressed and vulnerable' propaganda, and when they're questioned or asked to explain or justify their position they have precisely nothing.

Except gigantic fake boobs, which yer man seems to think is his righteous passport into the ladies.

That was beautifully produced. Laughed out loud at some of the answers to ‘What is a woman’….they really don seem quite sure, and it’s all so terribly complicated…The GC young women were such a welcome burst of clarity in contrast.
It’s definitely an argument that the because the definition of biological sex is very simple it is therefore somehow also ‘reductionist’ and wrong.

But how can you teeelllllll?! They’re just swanning around in women’s toilets and we have no idea. Except for all those hench bearded transmen who are now going to come into the ladies. These people are so fucking deluded!

I've just watched the first 10mins, but what's interesting is how they are all using the same arguments and they are obviously flipping gender critical arguments to undermine them. But who is behind it? I'm guessing social media, but I wonder what accounts in particular.

I mean the arguments they are using are laughable, but I suppose it's all they have

Gotta say, the young GC ladies come out as far more coherent and well-informed than the TRAs.
