Imane Khelif to box women In The Netherlands' Eindhoven Cup June 6-9

JK Rowling has commented that she is still waiting for being served legal papers. Nothing so far.

World Boxing who still hasn't moved with explaining their position on this. Weren't they supposedly reviewing the situation?

It would be worth quoting the Spanish national boxing coach Rafa Lozano, who said in an interview on Radio Marca that Khelif was considered too dangerous to pair with women at a boxing retreat in Madrid ahead of the Olympics.

"We put [Khelif] with Jennifer Fernandez and it hurt her. Whoever we put [Khelif] with was injured.”

Lozano said that to avoid further injury to the women, the coaches eventually paired Khelif with Jose Quiles, one of Spain’s top male boxers.

I see this competition is under the auspices of World Boxing, who were set up in opposition to the IBA - yes, that's the organisation that did the tests on Khelif and yes, it was financially and politically dodgy, that's factually accurate; both these statements are true and don't cancel out the validity of the tests.

World Boxing is very big on safeguarding, the well-being of the boxers, etc., so that's probably the best line to take by protesters: how can WB stand by the inclusion of someone who is 99% certain to be male [yeah, I think 100% too, but I'm trying to be reasonable] in the women's competition?

He is absolutely shameless. As a PP said, shame on the event organisers for enabling him. The women in the competition are left with the desperate choice of throwing away all their hard work and training by declining to compete. Or potentially being hit by a man for public entertainment. It's disgusting.

He filed a legal case with the hate crime unit in the Paris prosecutor's office in August last year. Also, in November 2024, was supposed to be taking "legal action against individuals who commented on her [sic] situation during the Olympic Games Paris 2024" and to be on"preparing a lawsuit in response to the latest reporting" on his sex status.

Nothing has come of any of these supposed actions up until now.

In February this year he posted on social media about considering legal steps against the IBA. The IBA was delighted "as a court would force our organization to reveal two gender tests based on which the boxer was banned from participating in any IBA women’s events."

I wonder if they’ll be making any women who do box against him do the media ‘of course he’s a woman’ thing like they did at the Olympics

Didn't he threaten to or start legal proceedings after the furore at the Paris Olympics? I guess that never happened then?

Of course it's in the Netherlands. The country that sent a child rapist to the Olympics.

How is this even allowed? What about the women he will box against?

I noticed a tweet by the Eindhoven Box Cup that featured Khelif. It must be very concerning and distressing for the female boxers in that category.

How is this still going on!!?!?
