Linzi Smith is granted Judicial Review over police participation in Pride

Good for Linzi. This has big ramifications, is Pride political? If so it affects schools as well.

BREAKING: The Chief Constable of Northumbria must account to the High Court for her active participation in Northern Pride last year. She was warned. She went ahead anyway.

The court has asked if she intends to actively participate again this year. She states that she will.

Now she’ll have to defend her position at a Judicial Review in July. GC women need to feel safe in Northumbria which is why Linzi Smith is bringing the action. Pride is political.”

The police have just argued that if they are banned from marching in Pride, then it must follow that the police must also be banned from attending church and other places of worship….

Go figure.

This is gold!

Wow.
Own goal?

Imnobody4 · 10/07/2025 18:21

I missed this earlier tweet from 10 30. This really is mind boggling that they seem so complacent.

Well, well, well… Northern Pride has given trans training to @Northumbria officers, teaching them that gender identity is a characteristic protected by the Equality Act.

Northern Pride further teaches that the Supreme Court ruling must be resisted, and gender critical individuals should be removed from this year’s Pride march.

The police position is that this is entirely uncontroversial.

I've seen that photo a few times now - has anyone got any background to it? Where it was taken? Was it taken on the date it was posted? Have the two people been IDed?

That 's a woman's police hat in the background - does it belong to the officer in the photo??
There's a story behind the photo, and it will be interesting to discover it...

Yes, the man holding the sign is Harry Miller. A GC man who runs We Are Fair Cop. He wrote a blog about it.

Us using this image will be a gift to TRAs as it is a literal false flag

Excellent news, thank you for sharing!

With today's sickening picture of a policeman smiling away in a selfie beside a man holding a sign telling women who want and need their legal protections in law to 'be afraid' at a demo where violence was being openly threatened, the chances of the police arguing that it is not political, that they are not biased, and that they are not now openly delivering differently tiered policing according to the political groups involved, is about that of a snowball's chance in hell.

That person holding the sign is Harry Miller himself, the man who runs We Are Fair Cop.
He wrote about it in a blog. Its a false flag, and whole I agree police shouldn't be at pride, we should call out tactics like this for the lies they are

Talkinpeace · 10/07/2025 17:25

Has the hearing finished for today ?

Are you expecting the Police to bother to turn up and listen tomorrow ?

Imnobody4 · 10/07/2025 17:21

The claim is now that there is no rational basis to object to police participation in Pride; that those of us who object are unreasonable and should therefore not be considered.

The judge asks the court if a Chief Constable’s attendance at Pride is akin to a General leading her troops.

We say, it is.

OP posts:
TheOtherRaven · 10/07/2025 16:36

So it's a religion?

We always said it was.

Then it comes under the same thing as requiring people to pray with you, or genuflect as you pass the crucifix on the desk, and to wear religious symbols on your uniform doesn't it?

No one minds in the slightest about police officers going to 'Pride' out of uniform in their own time. People definitely mind about police officers requiring you to chant a hail mary with them when you report a burglary.

Boundaries for that.

Edited to add I'm still shaking my head in disbelief at how many people in thrall to this religion are so bloody stupid .

At least it is now official that being Trans gives you the same immunity status as being a god, or God, thus allowing you to smote things like pesky women who won’t wheesht, bringing in arbitrary bans on gatherings you don’t like the look of, and blaming women for both original sins and all the subsequent copycat sins.

Glad there’s a thread, I came to share the nonsense in the court; sounds hilarious!

Just had an attempted intervention by the lunatic, cross dressing nut job, Lynsay Watson.

The judge, God bless him, has ruled that we are tweeting reasonably and have express permission to continue to do so.

Not sure the judge is going to like that tweet😂

The judge has just asked what would happen in the event of a gender critical counter protest… and the Chief Constable was marching with the Pride contingent.
The barrister could not answer and is now in deep conversation with his solicitors.

😂

Sounds like a car crash

Pesky judge, asking awkward questions!

Interesting that they're arguing that Pride is equivalent to our religions. 😅

CinnamonCinnabar · 10/07/2025 14:52

I'm pretty sure police in uniform would be banned from joining an Orange Order parade or a Just Stop Oil rally.

We are now having a lesson in the evolution of LGBT…. @northumbriapol state that T is a natural evolution from the LGB.

The judge has pointed out that they have not submitted any evidence in support of this position.

Linzi's court case starts today.

https://x.com/RightNUFC/status/1943218881201307925?t=M3WN2LNoJ_1uEIVgxW8Vyg&s=09

Not a single senior officer - or junior officer, for that matter - has bothered to show up at court. The contempt is risible. What a coward.

This is interesting. I shall be watching to see what Pride participation my NHS Trust indulges in.

Plenty of NHS trusts boast of their support for local Pride events - evidence of these sorts of activities were mandatory demands for a high score in the Rainbow badge assessments with protected time for allies/LGBTQ reps to attend.

LesserCelandine · 27/05/2025 07:14

The point of Harry’s stunt was not to pretend TRAs are violent and threatening (there is plenty of evidence of that already), it is that the police are happy to side with those threats and violence. Harry’s focus is the police.

ALERT !
The Northumbria Police picture is from 2024 not recently. It was part of a stunt by Harry Miller in disguise to demonstrate that the Police would stand next to people holding offensive signs at Pride. So DO NOT SHARE in the context of the outrage over Baker's recent "Be Afraid" threats outside Downing Street.

See original photo here:
Why won’t the Chief Constable hold my sign?
https://thecritic.co.uk/why-wont-the-chief-constable-hold-my-sign/

In a scary example of reality catching up with satire Baker adopted the same Be Afraid slogan that Miller used as a satire.

The problem is of course the TAs will now leap on the fact this photo was part of an attempt to make TAs look bad as an example of a false flag to claim Baker a convicted criminal was justified in threatening people.
There is no point trying to make the TAs look bad through stunts. They will do that themselves. Operation Let Them Speak relies on listening and repeating what they say.

It clearly says ‘Northumbria Police’ no obviously not the protest in London. But unless you are suggesting the police officer is fake I am not sure what your point is? This shows a police officer happy to pose with a sign that at minimum clearly discriminates against a sector of the population. And the fact that nine months later they are failing to react to the same threats by a convicted criminal that are in breach of his parole conditions show just how biased the police are.

NUFC69 · Yesterday 11:50

As a woman living in Northumberland, I welcome this move from Linzi. I was also very concerned about the photo of the policeman with a poster

North Tyneside here. The photo's been explained, but yesterday, I saw an explanation that he asked the pictured Bobby if he wanted a picture, the Bobby read it and said yes.

Helleofabore · 27/05/2025 04:32

I look forward to seeing where Linzi’s review goes. Because I feel that there has become too much willingness to allow political belief to shape officer’s actions rather than remaining impartial.

I think Harry’s action highlighted just how problematic it is. That a police officer allowed themselves to have their photo taken with a sign like that is very concerning.

That we are seeing Baker directly threaten women and the PM and telling them to be afraid, seems to me to be part of the ramifications of police and politicians who have their photos taken at these events. Photos without taking care around what signage is in the photo too.

Chariothorses · 26/05/2025 21:07

And if Linzi reads this, thank you! The pol ice need to be held to account, from individual forces to the Cof P, for their ideolo gical trans bias and misogyny.
