What exactly will all of these organisations do when the EHRC publishes the consultation ?

Some won't in the shorter term, but once action is taken against one for non compliance the others will fall into line quite quickly.

The will and the backing is there to take the legal measures to ensure compliance, and the law is on that side too. It would be a pointless and expensive process to put your organisation through legal proceedings when you are clearly flouting the law and will not win, and will also have costs to pay, plus fines for non compliance.

Pretend it's difficult to understand and not comply most likely.

and so the grift will continue

I think they'll say they'll comply, drag their heels doing that and deliberately cause uncertainty, treat gender critical women like shit on the bottom of their shoe when they seek to assert rights, and lobby like crazy in the shadows to get the government to rescue the situation with new and confounding leglislation.

Women will always be Women.
If organisations choose to ignore the Law by not providing the SSP we require or refuse to respect the boundaries requested by Women, the threat of legal action will make them capitulate. If it’s Law, it’s the Law.

Was there lots of "waiting for guidance" when they let men into women's spaces, into women’s sports, changed the names of women's things without consultation, decided to promote one group above all others? Hmm?

I think some will ignore and hope people don’t have the funds or energy to sue.
Others will comply but can blame the EHRC. “We fully support you blah blah blah but our hands are tied. Look this is what the nasty mean EHRC say”
Others will comply when their insurance cover forces them to

I think many will just not comply because who's going to make them?

Bringing cases to court is a long and costly process, both financially and mentally, and many folk affected just won't be up for that understandably.

I'm sad to say it, but I think we've still got a very long way to go yet...

As I understand it (and I'm happy to be corrected) the interim guidance is pretty much what the final guidance will be - they aren't planning to actually CHANGE it as such just add more helpful examples to it.

So, assuming this is right, the law has been clarified, the guidance is out. There's absolutely NO excuse for not implementing it NOW!
Perhaps these companies need to be told this. There's nothing to wait for. It's done.
