Ben & Jerry's have joined the nonsense and actually seem to support GLP 😲 Someone hasn't done their research. Thankfully the comments are overwhelming supportive of the SC judgment, but I really liked Phish food I've cream 😞

Why do companies tie themselves down to ‘causes’? I can understand environmentally friendly products donating a bit towards the environment and giving you a short lecture about bees on the side of the yoghurt pot. But I wish I could just eat my ice-cream in peace. I need to find a decent recipe for hazelnut ice-cream. I tried a Magnum one - which was great, but a bit sweet.

As others have pointed out, it's unsurprising because the original Ben and Jerry were hippies from Vermont, USA ie hippie central, hence the flavour name Phish Food after the band. They sold out to corporate in the 90s so it's even more disingenuous, pathetic really.

I’m going to make some chocolate ice cream, get some marshmallow fluff, dulce de leche and chocolate chunks and make my own version.

I’m going to call it Terph Food.

I have a Cuisinart ice cream maker that makes excellent ice cream.

Very easy and delicious, and not full of shit like B&J (in every sense).

I've been off B&J for a few years now. I want ice cream, not "activism". Anyway, the ingredients creep me out. I have developed a very expensive habit of booja-booja's vegan selection. Absolutely divine, ingredients I recognise, practical if I've eaten meat (can't mix meat & dairy for cultural reasons), but about £5 a tub. A special treat... every other week.

I also haven't stepped foot in a Starbicks since about 2019 when I saw with horror that they were selling iced mermaid tail biscuits to raise money for that organisation wot secretly sends children breast-crushers and tries to ban LGB charities.

Terfism is going to be the best diet ever, mark my words. Should we trademark it now? Make a nice little book? Send the proceeds to a standing fund for fighting legal actions to establish daring new concepts such as, "water is wet (BUT WHAT ABOUT ICE?!)", "bears shit in woods (#NOTALLBEARS)" and "Pope is a Catholic (RELIGIOUS ESSENTIALISM!)"?

Phish Food is my husband's favourite and he's 6 foot 4 so he can eat a tub without even stopping for breath. I used to buy two or three a week. I won't buy it again.

They've been drinking the Kookaid for a very long time. So that statement doesn't surprise but they are a company I haven't supported financially in years.
