It isn’t as if Linehan has come out of this looking squeaky-clean. He seems as murky as the TRAs he rails against, TBF. Just a line from the judge’s summing up: “District Judge Briony Clarke said that … the posts were "unattractive, annoying and irritating", as well as "deeply unpleasant and even unnecessary". His X feed is a mix of trans hate, race bait and whining about people he thinks haven’t supported him enough. He certainly comes across himself as an abusive bully, and I don’t use those words lightly.

I'm actually kind of in awe of the sheer fucking gall of TRAs cackling about Glinner getting a minor conviction (where the judge even declared him to be an honest person and the complainant not so much). I mean, do they know the sorts of things trans identified men have done all over the world? It's literally balls-out chutzpah.

It was criminal damage, not violent crime, although I can see how the "correct sexed terms are literal violence" lot might get a fit of the vapours over a phone being knocked over. A woman being knocked over by a man in a boxing ring is fine, of course.

The judge said she did not think "the complainant was as 'alarmed and distressed' as they portrayed themself to be by these messages and this course of conduct".

She also ruled that "the complainant was not giving entirely truthful evidence" during the trial in September, while Linehan was "generally a credible witness".

He has been fined £500 and ordered to pay costs of £650 and a statutory surcharge of £200.

During the trial, Linehan told the court that knocking the phone was a "reflex response", and that his life had been "made hell" by transgender activists because of his views about gender identity.

Judge Clarke said it was "not for the court to pick a side" on the "continuing debate about rights of individuals regarding their sex and gender identity".

She explained that the prosecution used female pronouns to refer to the complainant during the trial, while Linehan's defence used male pronouns. The judge said she had chosen to refer to Brooks using "gender neutral pronouns and as 'the complainant'" in her ruling.

GL doesn't have a conviction for violent crime. He has a conviction for criminal damage. My cousin was convicted for criminal damage for carving his initials into a wooden bench.

Neither BBC or ITV are calling the man "she". They're referred to as "they" now. Not as accurate as it should be but it's a start. I'm sure that this time last year they'd have said "she".

Graham has brought sunlight to the evil murky world of the men pretending to be women activists and the men they hang around with. His conviction is going to be appealed. Brooks the man who shoved his phone in Linehan's face and in the face of the women at the conference is now discredited as he failed in his harassment claim against Linehan and has been denounced for his testimony, ie not telling the truth. Linehan's testimony is all over the media:
