Now and then a fairly sensible trans person will pop up on their threads and make an appeal to optics, like maybe don't carry signs threatening to kill women or don't piss all over the pavement to make your point.

Obviously they get downvoted to all hell, called quizlings and are told appeasement will never win the revolution.

They really can't see themselves as others see them.

My favourite bit is the repeated conviction that we have nothing else to do.

I've been at this for years now; when does that cascade of American right wing Christian money kick in? Did I neglect to fill in a form?

The ones I've read recently say that we are jealous because they are more gorgeous than we are (the delightful India Willoughby called us "frumps") even though we have the advantage of being women for longer. But then I've noticed since the judgement quite a few are now calling themselves biological women 🙄so surely that cancels out their argument.
So really, I don't know and it's one hell of a head screw to try and work it out!

@FiveBarGate I'm not convinced most posters on that forum are men.

They are mostly teens, mostly female and just lashing out at their mums.

The Victimhood is incredible. If they had any level of self-awareness, they'd be able to see where they were going wrong, and work out how to do it better. But, they're so insistent on blaming everyone else that they'll never get their shit together :)

Reading this thread I can’t help but think that a huge part of it is that we have a sense of humour and they are so often po-faced navel gazers.

It’s because the premise that two sexes exist is a fundamental reality to the majority of people.

The starting point was #bekind and I think people were happy to be kind until the liberal elite started forcing us to comply with a literny of falsehoods and I honestly think the bail in the coffin was the Scottish government bringing in a raft of charges that enabled a very unpleasant sex offender into a woman’s prison. That was enough to lose a Nichola Sturgeon her job and wake a lot of people up.

Reddit TransgenderUK is such a sad place.

On a typical day it's just posts of very young sounding people who have decided they are trans in the last month and now must have treatment immediately, lots of rants about their incredibly complex healthcare needs without understanding that this is way too difficult for General Practice.

And a lot of expectation that the world should come to them eg person who spends all their time in their bedroom, hasn't told their parents, is too anxious to speak on the phone or leave the house and is aggrieved they aren't getting hormones.

So I suspect the reason TERFs are better organized is one they haven't considered - that you need to be a fully functioning adult to get shit done.

Two hundred trans people and their allies can stand on a Home Counties high street with beautiful handmade signs and chant Fuck Keir Starmer, Fuck Wes Streeting, Trans Rights Are Human Rights until the cows come home. It doesn’t matter. To some minds, it will even hurt the cause.

What are our 'protests' that attract so few of us? I can only really think of Kellie Jay Keen's LWS events, which I believe she calls rallies, or a few Lesbian Strength events? Maybe if they didn't waste their time with street protests, they'd have more success
