Men attacked by another man.

I think one of the people shrinking back in the photo is a woman. In any case, it's vile and inexcusable, I'm glad the Police have made an arrest.

It's such a shame that they shrugged, or offered to arrest female victims of assaults by trans zealots. Let's hope that the SC ruling results in a reversal of that.

All violence is wrong

The police and media response to this versus other violent incidents (tra violence aimed at women, male-on-male violence, domestic violence etc) is, erm, illuminating

I (for one) don't think that is is made up, but I do think that there will be a chunk of the story missing.

"It's not surprising. People get angry when they don't understand something, people get angry when they don't agree with something, instead of having a conversation with people.

"Instead of being curious, asking questions, wanting to get involved, wanting to know how they can make a difference; the first line of defence is for them to get angry and attack and that's what happened."

They're sooooo close to getting it. Why can't they apply this logic the other way around? I don't think a guy in a hoodie with a can of beer in his hand is much interested in having a discussion about sex and gender but there are plenty of women who are.

Yes, I doubt they’d have bothered if it was directed at attendees of a women’s rights meeting, like all the other times they’ve completely ignored.

Ludicrous that the BBC report this, but never report on the attacks transactivists make against women.

Would they have reported if the same (drunk?) man spat at any other marchers for a different cause, I wonder? I mean, it’s unpleasant, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s a scuffle at best.

I really hope this doesn’t trigger more retaliation, these ridiculous conflicts need to be ignored to die a slow death

The attacker does not look to be someone at all interested in gender issues on either side of the debate.

He was a man. Some men do things like that. Doubt he was a TRA.

Yet again it's men committing violent acts of aggression. A male spitting and pushing in this case. Just as in Leeds this weekend it was a male attacking women with a crossbow. Also the horrendous attack in Vancouver where a male drove a car and murdered and injured multiple innocent people. Sickening.

That's a good point! Everything seems to be filmed these days, you think they would be filming it to post to their blogs/tiktoks, wouldn't you?

Im not condoning violence but I note with interest that this incident is being properly investigated while the violent attacks on women have gone unnoticed. I would cynically suggest it's because it was men being attacked that the police bother with investigating it

It's awful that someone attacked three people, and disgusting to spit on them. Really vile.

The above quote - that is true for some people - I've noticed it more with male people - but when I don't understand something I ask questions. I've seen that be true of many women too. I've actually found that it's the questions that receive a violent response (to be clear, I'm talking about typing them on online forums, not screaming them at people). So that doesn't apply to everyone and indeed I've seen a lot of male people get angry and attack. I would hope that they are asked not to by event organisers as well.

Some man spat at and shoved a protester. Awful. I hope they are ok.

Obviously it's difficult to tell just from photos, but some cultures (my own included) have men that can get very violent if they think anyone is displaying signs of LGB or T in their vicinity. Murderously so sadly.

Just yet another excuse for male violence.

And are they really so stupid to have not realised plenty of journalists and some MPs are now on to this, and it may produce very strong evidence of sex based bias?

The BBC picked up on this. Funny that. They ignored almost a decade of one way TRA violence against women. Do they have an agenda?

I think we can all agree that male pattern violence is a bad thing.

Absolutely unacceptable whatever his reasons. I hope no one is hurt, I'm sure they're shaken up, and I hope the assailant is prosecuted to the same firm extent to which men have been prosecuted when assaulting women on peaceful protests.

I find it interesting that there was only the one video of this, as there are always plenty of people taking videos at these marches.
