She did. £70,000 in fact, to get the highest court in the land to tell the Scottish Govt to recognise that women's rights apply to a distinct sex class.

And she personally funds a rape counselling centre too.

It seems to me the answer to that one is that 'transmen' are women, so it's not an issue. But Duffield let that pass and talked about knowing you have a cervix even if you have transitioned.
My point is that it looks like Starmer is going to get off the cervix hook by implying he was thinking of transmen - when he wasn't he was thinking of TiMs - and now TiFs are going to be used as an argument for letting TiMs into women's spaces. Or am I reading more into this than there is?

Not wanting to derail as JKR has spent lots of money on women’s rights, and is a star philanthropist. And Emily Bridges is just being ignorant and nasty in this, pushing misinformation. But think it’s important to point out that we don’t really have abortion rights in most of the UK.

Women don’t get the final say over whether we can have an abortion or not. We are allowed an abortion if we satisfy doctors that we meet fairly restrictive grounds. Otherwise we commit a serious crime.

The grounds have been quite loosely interpreted for the last 30ish years, which makes it a less urgent fight than it might be, but it would be easy for them to be reined in without any changes to legislation.

I missed it. I am assuming that whoever was interviewing Emily put "her" right? (Do we still need to use preferred pronouns?) Watching Rosie Duffield on Newsnight. A very good interview about her experience and I hope what she has said gets some fraction of the air time the mantrums have.
