Some strange contradictory arguments from the TRA side

I believe Martina Navratilova said that her coach (a TW) could almost beat her in a match and he was very low ranked when he played as a man.
I used to be a competitive swimmer so am still very fast but by the time DS hit 10 he started to equal me and soon overtake me despite his stroke being crap and him only swimming on holiday.

This has some, errrm, 'interesting' arguments from the TRA side.

Serena Williams could beat any man at tennis.

A NHS person saying they are uncomfortable with using the words pregnant women, as they have looked after lots of pregnant 9 year olds.🤔

Certainly, not currently legal in schools, as per recent judgement.

If this person wants to campaign for a change in the law, that is certainly their right, but would be difficult given the unpopularity of mixed sex toilets.

I just watched Politics Live from 22/4 where they were talking about this ruling. The transwoman lawyer said there's a very simple solution to the toilet issue. They said, keep the current seperate gender seperation and have a seperate single facility for people who, for what ever reason, want a more private space. IE Chuck women out of the women's so men are free to use them.

Shouldn’t be, if he turns out to be a genuine trans man then I guess that’s the price you pay when you alter your body in such a way that people mistake you for a man.

I don't know your educational background, but at my school we learned about intersex and chromosomal variation not being tied exclusively to pubescent development in Biology when we were around 14. It was pretty fundamental science, to be honest.

Had you stayed in education for science A Levels you would have found out that half of what you were taught at GCSE wasn't true. A lot was simplified.

Blood comes in more groups than A B O and rhesus. Acceleration due to gravity isn't 10m/s^2 any more

Oh and who thinks 'chromosomal variation' has ANYTHING to do with pubescent development. Yes the changes that happen at puberty are dictated by whether you are male or female but chromosomal variation accounts for things like Down Syndrome. People with Down Syndrome go through puberty.

I think I almost prefer the overt misogyny of Carry On to the covert misogyny of the "be kind" people.

Wow! Just saw Financial Times Gillian Tett on Newsnight reacting to Rosie Duffield negatively. Obvious the FT is totally captured. I've heard this. And The Times. These guys have pretty much won the battle and the war against women in spite of the Supreme Court Ruling.

*when really they're just desperate to try and separate anything that only women can have/do from womanhood so that biological men can carry on pretending they're totes women too.

It’s a major problem in farming. No way to tell where lambs or calves come from. The best hypothesis is really big storks.

Not to mention all the numerous other creatures who don't reproduce asexually and aren't hermaphrodites and have not yet had the benefit of a Supreme Court judgement to tell them which sex they are.

As I’ve said elsewhere, that’s why, for thousands of years, no human knew who to mate with - everyone just ran around bashing random privates into each other until whoops!

Oh, come on now! It's completely impossible to sex humans. At least 0.018% of them have mixed or karyotype-incongruent sex characteristics, and humans are too stupid to work out what's going on or create pragmatic medical or social solutions.

The only answer is to scrap sex-discrimination law altogether, and base it entirely on what sex people say they are.

It is a scientific fact. There is no such thing as intersex. People with DSDs are either male or female. No human has ever changed sex.

Why are women being guilt tripped about so called male violence towards trans women in male facilities and don't have any right to be concerned about male violence towards them in their facilities?

Its almost as if they recognise men might attack people in toilets

I also think people trying to trivialize this by saying we are have trade wars and Russia to deal and we are talking about toilets are deliberately trying to erase the strength of women s feelings and therefore is misogynist.

Yes I agree. It's definitely one for this 'contradictory argument' thread!

TRAs: Stop getting worked up about toilets, you're all so obsessed with toilets, toilets are so trivial they're just a place to pee, focusing on toilets detracts from the real issues in the world, etc etc.
Also TRAs: We demand access to your toilets! TW cannot possibly go in the men's toilets! They risk their lives in there! Don't minimise our lived experience by telling us what toilets we can go in! Toilets are crucial to our identities and validation! We've always been in your toilets!

Nope. But I can understand why some TRAs are worried about it. Their problem is the blinkers they wear when it comes to the same problem afflicting women.

Some men will be violent against other gender non conforming men. Most men don't go around attacking anyone (thankfully).

Is there any evidence of large-scale attacks on gender non conforming men? Where and when do these attacks take place? Is there any evidence that they are more likely to take place in toilets than in any other environment? Do you have some stats?
