Bridget Philipson- TW should use toilets according to biological Sex.

On R4 at 7.50!!

She said she spoke on behalf of the government, they welcome the judgement and it is now clear, provision must be based on Biological Sex!

Apologies for posting then running (have an appt to get to). but didn’t see another thread on this.

(If you have the sounds App you should easily beable to go to 7.50 and listen)

What is Annex B??

The NHS England policy that allows men to self-identify into women's wards in NHS hospitals without it counting as a breach of their same-sex accommodation policy.

Great. So no talk of expensive and disruptive provision of 'third spaces' for a tiny minority of the population, they are not needed, there are already spaces available for them: the ones designated for their biological sex.

Yes she was pretty clear.

She avoided having to explictly say TW should use the gents by talking about biological sex and then saying some small businesses like cafes have single cubicles.

But also was clear that more of issue is rape centres, hospitals etc.

So we can expect to see Annex B withdrawn PDQ.

She was on the radio to talk about her subject (Education) but the interviewer insisted that they first start the conversation by talking about the SC judgement.
So when did the Government talk about this? And when were they going to volunteer the outcome of their discussion? Has KS offered any comment yet?

Interviewer did seem to be chasing the sound bite, which is irritating.

Just to add, the interviewer seems obsessed with toilets, but BP did a good job of also taking about other spaces.
