But yes, as others have said, good luck to all those who are expecting an onslaught of this tomorrow. I'm lucky that my work 'colleagues' are a bunch of youngsters who will be more interested in how many easter eggs I got and what I think about Eastenders.

Thank you for this. I'm in a civil service department and we've already had some pandering messages from a specific staff network sent out to the entire agency. Mild enough that they've probably just erred on the side of avoiding conflict with actual women, but I doubt he's done) because of course the sender is a middle aged white biological man in a managerial role and pronouns in his name on Teams and email...).

I'll stick this in my armoury for anything that pisses me off.

I wonder whether it is helpful to encourage people to focus on what was actually IN the judgment, rather than the media hype around it. I keep being surprised that so many people are ardently agin it without having actually read it. I know I'm a nerd but seriously it's a fairly easy read.

I'm also fully expecting to find a front page intranet article supporting our LGBTQIA+ colleagues - with not a mention of women or the protections this gives to lesbians and trans men - so am trying to get my thoughts organised in advance.

I'm fortunately safely beyond workplace politics like this, but I'd like to think that sensible GC women like you will feel strengthened by the fact that the highest court in the land totally agrees with you.
And the reason they agree with you is because they, like you, know common sense when they see it.
As legal people, they affirmed the importance of language being straightforward and stable in meaning. That's the exact opposite of what the variously-hued 'networks' have been doing for years.
Sex means biological sex. It does now, it always did, and anyone who said otherwise was just plain wrong. Mistaken. Incorrect.

We have all staff workplace training this week. In keeping with the LGBTQIA++ aesthetic, the last one looked like an explosion in a low-grade jumble sale with matching blue, green and pink hair on the youngers. I am all eager anticipation for an impromptu announcement of angst from their spokesthem.

Yes, it's the women's staff network that is inevitably going to piss me off. It's appropriate that this is happening at Easter because a GC commenter (on an online group we're all in) would be crucified...
