While the UKSC has confirmed that woman means woman, this doesn't mean that women can...

I understand that the decision of the UKSC is not unlimited. Can we clear up some of the things that women can't do as a result?

I'll start.

This ruling doesn't mean that women can herd sheep over London Bridge.

Any woman who is drunk while in charge on any highway or other public place of any carriage, horse, cattle, or steam engine, or who is drunk when in possession of any loaded firearms, shall STILL be liable to a penalty not exceeding forty shillings, or in the discretion of the court to imprisonment for any term not exceeding one month.

At least in Scotland.

Thank goodness we can still legally be drunk in charge of a pram, pushchair and unloaded firearm.
Is being drunk in charge of a herd of sheep on London Bridge legal? Asking for a friend.

To be fair - as a man I don’t believe there is ever a reason to say that women can’t do something just because they are women - but then I am possibly more feminist than even my wife!

as a freeman of the city of London - I look forward to one day driving sheep over the bridge - but have lots of female friends who have already done so…
