I am not sure I buy that to be honest. I agree that their thing has always been lampooning those who have the power, Trump was an absolute gift (but lets face it, an easy and lazy target), same with Musk. But they have fought and supported really important social issues (PO scandal being the biggest), so it seems that they are too scared to say what they think or, dont actually care if women get fucked up.

Are you sure about that? Justin Webb has been GC for some years — I think he'd seen what was happening during his time in the US. I'm not sure Nick Robinson is. I've heard him do at least a couple of interviews where he's not asked the questions that needed to be asked and gone very easy on pro-trans interviewees. I wouldn't have put money on him being GC.

They are in a difficult spot, because they essentially go after people in power, and then humilliate them i.e. punching up. The TG movement appears to be from grass roots perspective i.e. LGBT but really its a mens rights movement. Thats hard to tackle from a "punching up" perspective.

The fact that they haven't seem to touch the person reported to be in power i.e. JK probably indicates what side they are on.

Not really on topic, but Glinner proved what a mensch he is back in 2009, when he forced the Express to apologise for an absolutely foul story about the survivors of the Dunblane massacre. He also was very very kind to an acquaintance of mine who crashed a van when working on a runner on a show of his. She spoke of him in glowing terms, and said how his first concern was her wellbeing, when she was terrified she was about to lose her job.

Strangely enough I saw a tweet from them on X today. They seemed really upset after the ruling on Wednesday. From what I could make out seemed to think a lot of GC people had turned on them and I think they just went quiet because of all the flak.
